Best Watch I’ve Ever Owned
I originally had a DW-9052 but it started seeping in water so I bought a ga2100 which didn’t match my style, so I ended up with this watch. I got it at an amazing price of 120 with tax and has been working better than any watch I’ve ever had. It arrived at the battery level of medium but quickly went up to high after 2 days, and has stayed there ever since. The atomic time works like a dream, too, it has received the signal every day, even when being 2 feet away from my PC though I do turn it off completely every night so that the watch is capable of receiving the signal easier. The durability on this thing is amazing, too, and the strap is comfortable. It is really easy to adjust which was important to me because I have a pretty small wrist. If you have owned a G-SHOCK previously, you wouldn’t need the instructions but they are really easy to understand if you do need them. The only 2 downsides to this watch is that the delivery took 15 days and the alarms are pretty quite, but I still think that this watch deserves 5 stars. Amazing.

Survival of the Fittest!
Get ready for a horological odyssey, dear Amazon window-shopper, because today we’re diving deep into the wrist-bound enigma that is the Casio G-Shock GWM5610U. And let me tell you, this isn't just a watch; it's a testament to minimalist brutality, a digital zen garden in a bomb-proof shell, and quite possibly, the last watch you'll ever need… or want. First, let's talk about the "U." What does it stand for? Unyielding? Unkillable? Undoubtedly utilitarian? All of the above, and then some. This isn't your flashy, "look at me, I have a tiny computer on my wrist" smartwatch. Oh no. The "Square" whispers sweet nothings of atomic timekeeping accuracy and solar-powered immortality directly into your practical, no-nonsense soul. It's the horological equivalent of that one friend who's always prepared for the apocalypse, has a fully stocked bunker, and still manages to show up on time for brunch. The aesthetic, you ask? It's like a black brick decided to go into witness protection and ended up on your wrist. Some might call it "understated." I call it "aggressively humble." This watch isn't trying to impress anyone, and that, paradoxically, is what makes it so damn impressive. It's the kind of watch that says, "Yeah, I was here before you, and I'll be here after you, and I'll still be telling the exact time, thank you very much." Now, the "G-Shock" part. This isn't just a marketing ploy, folks. This is a promise. I'm fairly certain you could strap this watch to a particularly disgruntled badger and launch said badger out of a trebuchet, and the watch would still be ticking… or, well, digitally displaying. I've personally subjected it to accidental drops, impromptu mud baths (don't ask), and even a brief, terrifying encounter with my toddler's hammer. The Square emerged from each ordeal not with a scratch, but with a quiet, dignified smirk that seemed to say, "Is that all you got?" It's like the Chuck Norris of timepieces, but with better shock absorption. Oh, and let's not forget the sheer, unadulterated joy of never having to worry about a battery change. This watch sips photons like a vampire sips blood, sustaining itself on the ambient light of our glorious sun...or the fluorescent glow of your office. It's so efficient, I'm convinced it's secretly plotting to power the entire eastern seaboard with nothing but a well-placed window. But the real MVP, the undisputed champion, the crème de la crème of features, is the atomic timekeeping. My friends, this watch "syncs" with atomic clocks. That's right. It's not just accurate; it's "scientifically" accurate. You know those people who are always five minutes early? This watch makes them look like tardy amateurs. You'll be the one correcting everyone else's clocks, confidently proclaiming, "Actually, it's 3:47 and 12 seconds...precisely." You'll become a human time-Lord, wielding temporal dominion with a mere flick of your wrist. Be warned, though, this newfound power might lead to a subtle but undeniable air of superiority. Embrace it. The only downside, if you can even call it that, is that it might make other watches in your collection feel insecure. Your fancy automatic, with its delicate gears and winding rituals, will look at your new G-Shock with a mixture of awe and existential dread. "Why do I even bother?" it will silently whimper. All-in-all, if you're looking for a watch that screams "I'm prepared for anything, I value precision, and I'm not afraid to look like I mean business even when I'm just watching Netflix," then the Casio G-Shock GWM5610U is your soulmate. It's not just a watch; it's a lifestyle choice. It's a statement. It's a rubber-clad ode to reliability. Buy it. Your wrist will thank you. Just be prepared to have a truly unshakeable sense of time. And maybe, just maybe, the urge to build a bunker. You've been warned.

Set it and forget it — solar & atomic is worth it
This is easily one of the most practical watches I’ve owned. The solar charging is a game changer — no worrying about battery changes. As long as it gets some light, it just keeps going. The atomic timekeeping is another big plus. It updates itself, so it’s always accurate without you having to mess with it. It still has that classic G-Shock toughness, so I don’t think twice about wearing it to work, the gym, or outside. It’s durable, lightweight, and more low-profile than some of the bigger G-Shocks, which I actually prefer. The display is clean and easy to read, and once you learn the buttons, everything is straightforward. If you want a tough everyday watch that basically runs itself, this is a solid upgrade over the standard models.

The watch if you can only have one. Perfect!
Great watch! This G-Shock is more than a set it and forget it watch. This 5610U has tons of features. Atomic receiving works great. Solar charging with L M H indicator means piece of mind. Light weight and super comfortable. 5 alarms. Hourly chime. 24 hour and 5 world time zones. Stopwatch and countdown. 200M water resistant. I was just wanting the 5610, but I am glad I purchased the 5610U with the solar and atomic. I like analog watch faces, but this is the perfect do it all watch.

I am in love with this watch
I always used Casio watches as a kid, before giving in to fitness trackers and then to smartwatches. I've wanted a Gshock for a while now, and I finally bought this as a gift to myself. Everything works incredibly well, I have ZERO battery anxiety despite not having taken it out in the Sun for months, and the syncing works perfectly. For the price, this is fantastic ( even compared to much more expensive ones, if I may say so myself). Feels pretty comfortable, built insanely well, and looks beautiful.

Most practical watch
I'm a watch collector and I enjoy classic men's watches. One thing that I can't stand is that no matter where you turn around you always see bunch of people with the same exact smart watch of a certain brand on their wrists. So boring. So cliche. So annoying. As the phones aren't enough. Anyway, excluding this Casio that I bought last year out of nostalgia, I have 6 other watches with combined value of $30K: a Sea Dweller, a Seamaster, an Aquaracer, a Seiko Cpt Willard, a Seiko Arnie and a Citizen Nighthawk. Yet I wear this cheap $100 Casio most of the time - when I'm outdoors, when I'm at home, in a pool ..... - Virtually 90% of the the time and situations that don't warrant wearing a luxury/dressy watch. That says enough how much I like this retro looking G-Shock! It's by far the most practical watch I have and it has all the features you would want in an EDC watch: toughness, solar power, waterproof, alarm, timer, date, light, multiple times zones... I highly recommend it for men of all ages, backgrounds and lines of work.

Super Durable and Simple
I got this watch almost 6 years ago as a beater and it has taken what I've thrown at it like an absolute champ, especially in the era of "planned obsolescence". I've never once had to worry about the charge, as it's sat at the "high" battery charge indication for as long as I've owned it. For the past 4 years I've been wearing it while working aircraft maintenance (safety hazard, I know), soaked it in many different types of fluids and oils, bumped it, and taken it swimming countless times, and it's still going strong. It's got its dings and scratches but the face is still totally readable and everything's intact. I've never once had to replace a component due to damage, and it came solid from the factory. I have a smaller wrist, and I've found this fits me nicely. Some negatives- It's very simple, especially compared to modern smart watches. But I don't care for a crazy watch with features anyhow. Tells the time, has an alternate time zone mode, and has a timer. Good enough for me. Can be a bit tricky to navigate and configure at first but isn't hard to get the hang of. I originally bought it at around $80, the current price seems a bit steep now considering what it has to offer. But I can assure you this will last you for quite some time and can take a beating if you're willing to shell out the $100+ Overall I would recommend it if you want a simple and durable watch. Rated 4 stars due to objective lack of features, and raised price. But still a great watch in my opinion.

The best sports/tool watch with lots of features
Pros: Classic look, solar powered, atomic time sync, comfortable Cons: Band sticks out at smaller settings, not made in Japan The G-Shock is instantly recognizable to the most casual of watch fans to enthusiasts. It is a classic sports watch with a long and reputable history. As a kid, I always wanted a G-Shock, but my wrists were too small for the big, circular ones, and that was the one everyone had. As I got older, my wrists were still below average, but I also started to like the classic square G-Shocks more than its bulky, overly-complicated, and busy counterpart. My wrists are under 6.5", and normally a watch of this diameter would be way too big for me. However, with a very reasonable lug-to-lug length of 47mm, it fits my wrist just fine, and is actually the perfect dimension. I have made this watch my go-to for outdoor occasions and the gym. If you don't like the bulky, circular G-Shocks, but still want a reliable, digital sports watch, then this is the one for you. There are many variations of this watch, and the cheapest one can be had for under $50 if you don't care about having solar power and atomic time sync. I wanted to splurge a little bit, so I got this model. The solar feature is great because I never have to worry about the battery. I have a few automatic watches, and after a few days of not wearing them, I need to manually wind it or shake it, and set the time again. However, if I leave this watch alone for a few days, I can pick it up and wear it again and it'll have the right time down to the second. If I can only have one watch in an emergency situation, then this is the one. I don't have to worry about power, the time, or babying it because it is always going to be accurate and being a G-Shock, very shock-resistant. Additionally, it supports 29 time zones and has five daily alarms, a stopwatch, timer, calendar, and a backlight. It also comes with nice additional features like automatic syncing every day (if a radio signal can be found) and automatic backlighting if the watch is tilt a certain angle. The display also shuts itself down if not in use, but comes right back on when tilted. The latter two features are optional and can be turned off if you don't want it, which is a very nice touch. If you aren't familiar with how radio clock synchronizing works, there are radio towers around the world that broadcast the atomic time, so this watch is able to pick up those signals and set itself automatically. When you first get the watch, all you have to do is set your correct timezone and it will set the time automatically. You can also manually do a sync. It's important to note that this watch only works in the following countries: Germany, England, USA, China, and Japan. It might work in neighboring countries if the radio signal is strong enough. The solar powered feature is a very convenient thing to have for this watch, and I think it's definitely worth the extra cost. Even though the battery will still need to be replaced at some time, it should last for well over ten years (compared to maybe two years for a regular quartz watch). The power reserve is also impressive. If it is fully charged, it can last for ten months without being exposed to light. This is truly the watch to have in emergency situations. There aren't many things to nitpick about on this watch. Because I have smaller wrists, when I put it on, the band sticks out a little bit. It doesn't get in the way or anything, but it just looks kind of tacky. I may replace the band with a canvas strap in the future. The only other negative thing I would have to say about this watch is that it is not made in Japan. According to the case back, it is made in Thailand. However, that's not necessarily a bad thing, as it probably kept the price of this watch under $100. There's a similar Japanese-made model on Amazon for almost $300. If you're looking for an everyday, rugged digital watch that can take a beating, then this is the one. Once you get it and set the timezone, you'll never have to worry about it again. It is comfortable to wear all day and doesn't require much maintenance. Note: In the pictures, you'll see that my watch has bull bars. This does NOT come with the watch. I bought it mainly for looks, since the watch can probably survive most hits without it. I purchased it separately from a company called JaysAndKays on Etsy. They are a legit, veteran-owned company that sells many accessories for G-Shock watches. I highly recommend you check them out if you're looking to accessorize your watch.

Recomendo!
Recomendo!

A classic!
The package is pretty bang up but since it's a g-shock beater watch it is safely ok! There are so many G-shock models out there but you can't beat this classic. Been waiting and looking patiently for this model.Added my own bullbars. 😊 So glad i finally found it here within my budget. A must buy for casio collectors. This is like the basic Ultimate top 5 for a 5610 model. I highly recommend. Not for fussy buyers for sure.

Perfect product for if you need a reliable and heavy duty watch
One of the happiest product purchases that I have made on Amazon. Bought the watch on sale when the Prime day deals were active and the watch came in perfect condition and works exactly as advertised. The solar powered feature helps significantly as I work primarily outside in extreme heat and sun exposure. The resin band has survived dirt, rocks, and all the water that's been thrown at it when recently digging fence posts this past week. Glow in the dark feature is useful when waking up in the pitch darkness and not having my phone nearby. Most importantly, the watch functions perfectly as a watch in telling time. The time has never been off and the watch is always powered which is all you can really ask for in a watch.
