Raising kids and being a parent is not easy, and not always a bathtub full of rainbows and puppy dogs. Sometimes you get poop on your hands and do not realize it until hours later while at work and in a closed door meeting trying to close a deal with a new customer. You go to scratch your nose, and BAM, you smell it. You flash back to that rush in the morning trying to get the monsters ready for school and one is running around like a mental patient and the baby is just old enough to roll around while you try and change the diaper - like you are trying to defuse a bomb on a roller coaster. Your wife is, as always running late, because she never seems to know what she is wearing, or where anything is - as if she woke up in a strangers house...every single morning...every one...WTF...anyway, get the book for yourself and any cool mom you know. It is about the real world that some people try and hide or pretend is not there when it comes to being a parent, it makes it hilarious, OK, and something we can all relate to. PS - I used to be in band called Rainbows and Puppy Dogs. Seriously.

Moms Who Drink and Swear is such a delight to read! How refreshing to know that, as a mom, it's ok to have a bad day and want to run away from home and best of all.. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE!!! As women, we spend way too much time NOT supporting each other and Nicole's book does just the opposite. Nicole is the biggest cheerleader for moms of all kinds and this book is a true testament to that. She is honest and hysterically funny and you will instantly feel like she is one of your best girlfriends who has just parked herself on your couch with a big ole' glass of wine. Nicole is who she appears to be, and as you read this book, you will get a small glimpse into her crazy, but oh so loving, life of friends, family, and motherhood. Trust me, you will not regret buying this book, and I highly recommend you buy one for every woman you know as gifts!!

I related so much to this book. while reading it at my daughter's gymnastics class I couldn't help but laugh out loud, on multiple occasions, causing all the other parents to turn around and look at me. so worth it! this book is true to life and hilarious. I recommend it to all moms everywhere.

This book was truly amazing and fun to read. It is amazing to me how many of us mom`s truly feel the same way and encounter the same feelings as we raise our "crotchfruit!" I am glad I am not alone and wish I had found this book when my children were younger-!Nicole does a great job in bringing together the joys, headaches and the madness of being a parent. The stories are truly fun and hilarious because raising kids is really the most maddening, scary , and wonderful thing us moms will ever do.This book brings to life every feeling I have ever had raising my three children. By the way, I am truly the best Grandma EVER!!!!! My grandson Wyatt (who is called Wynot....will agree!)

I've followed Nicole's blog for a long time, and I love, love, love the way she tells it like it is. So when the book came out, I had to get it immediately, and the timing worked out perfectly with a girls weekend with four of my best mom friends. Imagine five 40-something women, sharing a suite in a fancy hotel, drinking wine and getting ready to go out. And taking turns reading story after story by Nicole out loud to each other. Tears, I'm telling you, rolling down our faces. This book is highly relatable, wonderfully entertaining and also really well written. If you need a review to tell you to buy it, then consider yourself told. Buy it. You won't be sorry.

Though the book was okay, but not great. I understand that the title gives away that there will be drinking and swearing, but even so the amount of times I had to read f%&! or a variation of it was a bit off putting. I read somewhere that cursing was most effective when used sparingly, and I guess my take on the book leads me to agree.

Nikki is an honest, hysterical, SMART, thoughtful, and open person who happens to curse like a sailor. In my eyes that is a winning combination. She writes about her family in a totally unfiltered way that I find refreshing. Too many times I read books or blogs that sugarcoat everything and make their lives sound like a 50′s sitcom. Nikki don't play that. She tells refreshingly honest stories and doesn't leave out the parts that makes her look flawed. If she lost her s*** over something that she later realized wasn't worth losing her s*** over, she admits it. And that's how she gets away with calling her family out on THEIR s***. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone has their faults. Everyone loses their s***. It's awesome to find someone who isn't afraid to point it all out and learn from it.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Chapters of a mother's life that many women can identify. That is if you are a woman that married her prince, found herself with a guy, and with a short budget and resources has to move on! It is hilarious as it is true and sweet as we follow a young woman to transform to a mother. And for us who went through that change a few years ago we can remember how painful and rewarding that change can be. So yes, I was not alone, and I love my teenagers but just like the author I felt too often that I depart the sanity plains while wondering what have I done?In case you do not have kids, maybe it would be a good thing to read this and go buy your mom a bottle of wine. You are welcome.

So if she never reads this, it really will be a shame but I feel it's the best way to tell this story. My wife and I like giving thoughtful gifts, so when we came up with the idea to buy a bunch of Mom-pampering items and put them in a box, it could make for a great bath experience. The book--in it's painfully obvious satirical intentions--was not received well. My sister-in-law decided to interpret this book as a way of us telling her she's a bad mom. OMG!! The tea is steeped but I've been too furious to sip!! I couldn't believe the narrow-sighted nerve of this B. I really wish my brother learns how to pull that pole out of her before any further family functions.But I hear it's a REALLY funny book based on a popular online blog.For Mom's with issues: burn after reading.

So true. So hilarious. So amazeballs!!! I cannot express how much I want us to be friends in real life.

I received the book yesterday, and had a family dinner that interrupted my reading time!! I Spent the entire day today inhaling this book!!! I laughed out loud by myself reading about the life of this hystarical woman who made me feel "normal" for wanting to hide in the laundry room and drink wine and eat chocolate!!! I can't wait for another book!!! Hurry up Ms Knepper!!!

Funny and very real book - great resource for my daughter with her first child - lots of laughs and perspective
