So great I bought two more!
We're snowbirds, and we wanted to have a way to see the outside of our places when we were away from them. We already had interior security cameras in both places, but had been procrastinating on an outdoor camera, not wanting to pay monthly fees.I have a flowering pink dogwood tree in front of the living room window up north, but each year when we got up there it had already blossomed. I wanted to be able to see the tree in bloom, and all the other early season flowers that come up around it. This was one of the main reasons I wanted an exterior camera. (also just to check on the outside of the property in general.)I did some googling and checked reviews on Amazon and came upon the Reolink Argus Pro. It seemed to be a perfect fit. I ordered it and the solar panel since would be gone for months at a time and not able to charge the battery. The camera and solar panel arrived and were so easy to set up. I mean *really* easy! I downloaded the app on my iPhone and just followed directions. Within five minutes the camera was functioning. I popped in a 16 GB micro SD card and I had my husband install the camera outside our living room window while I looked on the app to make sure I could see everything I wanted to see. We played around with different settings for a while, deciding to allow push notifications but not emails. The push notifications were enough. If you set the app to send emails of alerts, you get a nice snapshot along with the email. The solar panel keeps the camera charged between 98 and 100% at all times. That too was very easy to install and mount.Setting up the Reolink client on my laptop was a little more tricky, because the instructions aren't really as clear as they could be. For the Argus Pro, you have to enter the UID number, not the IP address. Then, you leave "admin" as the username, but you use the password you set up for your camera as password. A little non-intuitive but with help from customer support I got it. Customer support is only online, but they are very patient and responsive. Remember they're in a different time zone so you'll hear back from them the day after you email them. Be patient. They *will* get back to you!Our son was over and saw us install the camera and promptly went to Amazon and ordered one for his place. He loves it too. We then ordered a second one for our other place. We installed that one yesterday and added it to the app (very easy) and to the Reolink Client on the laptop. The photo I've attached in the view of both cameras in the Reolink app on the laptop. It's just so cool! The two year warranty is another good selling point. This is really a great little camera. The phone and PC apps are really well thought out and the company is very responsive. I highly recommend!Get the micro SD card. It's only five bucks and change for a Kingston 16 GB card here on Amazon. Get the solar panel if you don't want to charge the battery every now and then. Both are worth the extra money.

Affordable and effective.
After I had my shed broken into, I knew I needed to add some security to my home. I got this on a lightning deal, and I have loved it ever since. I’ve got it hooked up to a solar panel (I live in WA state, and there isn’t a ton of sun), and this baby has been at 100% ever since. It doesn’t drain all day, and only turns on to motion. It has great motion sensing, and only gets attracted to the trees once in awhile, giving me false alarms on my phone.Speaking of that, the app works very well, and they give you some free cloud storage for your videos to wirelessly upload to. You can easily connect to it using your phone or tablet, and the controls are easy enough for just about anyone to figure out.Installation was super easy, and just needed a few screws. It’s got a great cover and has held up to WA weather without issue. I’m definitely buying more.

Happy for the most part
We wanted a home security system that was affordable. That we did not have to pay a monthly subscription for. We were also looking for a unit that would be easy to install and set up. That would link up to our phones. We have had the units a couple o months now and are disappointed with some of the features. But pleased over all.We have 2 units and opted to have one camera mounted beneath an upstairs window so it would be out of reach and difficult for anyone to snatch. The other is mounted near my husbands workshop facing our back door. Here are my likes and dislikes.LIKES:Reasonable priceAbility to store footage on SD card. The set up was pretty easy. No complaints. The picture is good. The battery life is pretty good too. About 5 to 6 weeks for us.Viewing from almost anywhere by phone. (On a trip to Italy we had trouble getting clips to playback)DISLIKES:False triggers from flashes of light. At least this is my theory. As I get frequent alarms where nothing is seen but a quick flash of light at the start of the clip. I have concluded these are caused by changes of light when the sun reappears from behind clouds. Or light reflects off passing large delivery trucks. Not triggering quickly enough. People enter through my front gate but the unit doesn't capture until they are a third to halfway to my door. The gate is about 25 - 30ft from the camera and the camera does NOT directly face the gate. Despite having played with the aim/angle of the camera this has not improved.Slow alarm/chime to my phone. Seems like often it is a 5 to 10 minute delay.Overall we are pleased and may eventually get a third unit to cover the driveway and garage area.

Great value
I am extremely impressed with this camera. The build quality is excellent. I dropped it a short distance onto gravel while preparing to install and it survived without a scratch. Installation was straightforward. The software is very polished and feature-rich. The daytime video quality is excellent. I was particularly impressed with their support web site where there is a wealth of helpful tips. Both my wife and I receive alerts on our android phones when motion is detected, and we are both able to view the camera live at the same time. We are also able to view the camera live on our Google Home Hub by just saying "Hey Google, show me the backyard camera". Very cool. Their instructions on the web site for integrating with Google Assistant were very clear and easy to follow. We have only had it installed for a few hours, so we have yet to see how it performs at night, and of course how it holds up over time, but first impressions are extremely positive. Note, we also bought the solar panel to keep it charged. It was also easy to install, though the cable that came with it is quite long; I had to bundle it with a tie-wrap as I installed it very near the camera.
