Keeps the shape of the crown better than any others
This is the best solution I have found for hanging up my caps (since I don't have enough shelf space for all of them!). The clips keep the shape of the crown better than anything else I've seen, but the caps are still easy to remove if I want to wear one. (Note--I typically hang only one cap on each clip, even though it's advertised as holding three per clip.) I will probably wind up getting a third set by the time I'm done settling into our new space.

Simple Form, Genius Function
It was no small feat when we took the plunge and decided to move in together. Little did I realize that I wasn't just moving in with my boyfriend, but also his massive collection of baseball hats. There seemed to be little we could do to manage the hats in such a way that they would be neatly arranged when not in use, but ready for circulation at a last moment's notice. I spotted this clever contraption on the shelves of Lids, a store specializing in headwear, and tried to find a better deal and reviews online. Buying it from amazon.com with free shipping saved me on taxes but was comparably priced to the store. The device itself was simple to assemble (I managed to do it in secret as he was in the other room when it arrived), easy to mount, and instantly solved our dilemma. I mounted it inside the door of our coat closet and used an included hook to go over the door at the top and a piece of double sided padded tape (also included) to anchor the opposite end of the cord to the door. One of the best things about this piece is that each of the cap-mounts are independently adjustable and can be spaced however you prefer, creating an unique display effect. What's even better, and arguably more important, is that my boyfriend loved it and actually uses it! I rated this product with 4 stars instead of 5 because, although it's clever, useful, and attractive, it is made from a majority of plastic parts. Plastic always turns me off because it isn't usually crafted to stand the test of time and for this I would suggest the price be lower. To follow up on that last point, and despite not having such a need yet, I haven't seen replacement parts available- a small feature I would like to have as an option.

I should have read the description better and read the reviews.
I didn't realize there were only 12 clips, instead of 36 - but - in my defense - CapRack has an 18 cap system, which is 2 strings that each hold 9 caps. So when I saw "CapRack 36", and a picture of a string with 12 hats attached, obviously I figured there were 3 strings - no one in their right mind would assume that you were supposed to jam 3 caps onto each clip! Not only that, the photos of the product absolutely show only 1 hat on each clip. I'm a visual person, not much for reading, so again, a string with 12 hats clipped to it? Of course I'll get 3, I assumed. This may be an aberration of only the seller I bought it from (Football Fanatics), because, when I look at the actual box, there IS a photo showing 3 caps jammed onto one clip - but this seller didn't include that image in their (current) 2 photos of the product - only 2 different images of a string with 12 caps attached to each string.I'd give this 2 stars, but, of course, this was (partly) my own fault for not reading through the entire description.Anyway, it works OK, you can do 24 hats OK, since there are double clips on each holder, but it's very tight. 36, no, you'd have to put 2 on the bottom clip, it would be too tight and difficult to get just one cap out at a time. I'd send back and exchange for the actual 18 hat system, but it was still pretty cheap, not worth my time and energy to send back.

Not practical, does not work as advertised,
I just spent two hours assembling this cap rack. The instructions leave a lot to be desired, The picture showing how to attach the rope to the clips does not help, its too small and lacks detail. I had to figure it out by trial and error on how to attach the Cap Clips. Then you have to get them all straight , and moving them around on the rope after you fight to attach the clips is every worse. The instructions should say if you want to attach all the cap clips you need 4" spacing between each clip for balance. . The less clips you install, the wider space between clips. Instead you have to figure this out by yourself. The instructions should have given us a starting place. Finally, Trying to attach 3 hats to one clip is not as easy as the video makes it out to be. No one owns just one type of cap. Caps come in different thickness, some come with mesh backs, some are all cotton, some come with big or small buttons, while some come with none. . I wasn't so concerned about displaying my caps as I was trying to find something that could secure them with out getting crushed, or falling on the floor. Its impossible if not impractical to try to place three caps on one clip. Fighting with the clips just irritates the finger tips, and its not something I want to experience every time I change hats. I am really disappointed , for the time it took to figure it out I could have been doing something more useful. This is going back because it really doesn't do as it claims, at least not for me. It is also overpriced.
