When this hanger says "stay put," she means it! Finally, my stubborn clothes are actually hanging vertically, side by side, instead of slip-sliding away to the floor. Those tops that were always half-on half-off the hangers and wrinkled beyond recognition are a thing of the past. I decided on the suit hangers because I figured they would hold whatever I threw at them...from a very heavy shower robe to my lightest tanks...and they do! I haven't finished replacing all my various hangers yet, so I don't know how much if any space will be gained...but that was not my primary purpose in any case. I am extremely happy with the quality of these hangers, their ability to handle various weights of clothing and I will be purchasing more of them. UPDATE: 6-5-2011 This is just a "heads up" for those who really like these hangers, as I do, or for those who are thinking about ordering them. Be sure you don't make the mistake I just made ... I decided to order another box of these hangers for the rest of my clothes. I found what I thought were the hangers I had ordered the first time, as the boxes were the same - same color, said suit hangers, etc - however, I did not pay close enough attention to the fact that this second box of hangers didn't say SUPER STRONG in the Product Description on Amazon. The hangers came, perfectly packed, looking exactly like my others, until I took one of them out of the box! It was the same size, color, but it was bendable ... really BENDABLE! I got one of the hangers from the first box and you couldn't budge that hanger, let alone bend it! I couldn't believe it. I went back to Amazon and looked at all the boxes and read the descriptions ... finally I saw that the box I must have ordered the first time said SUPER STRONG in the description ... the second box of "flimsy" hangers did not. Oddly enough, the price wasn't a dead give-away either because there was only about a $2.00 or $3.00 difference between the "bendable" and "nonbendable" ones. If you want the really sturdy Suit Hangers, be sure you get the ones that say SUPER STRONG in the description. The "flimsy" ones are on their way back to Amazon.

We have both the regular velvet hangers and these heavy duty velvet hangers. The regular hangers bend and break easily, and the metal hook tends to come off the hanger. These heavy duty hangers hold three pairs of jeans on one hanger with no problem. No bending or sagging and the hooks stay connected to the hanger. We put heavy coats on these hangers and have had no problems with the coats breaking the hangers. They are thinner than plastic hangers which helps to save closet space, but thick enough to be extra sturdy.

I have 200+ of these hangers. I love the regular and super strong versions of the suit hangers. The super strong hangers are great for heavier jackets, although I use them for everything (too many hangers to sort). They really do hold a lot of weight without bending. The flocked surface keeps all of my blouses -- even the ones made of silky or slippery material -- on the hangers. That said, I did not like the hanger for shirts and dresses at all. I ordered them because the others were out of stock. The shirt and dress hanger lacks the cross bar at the bottom of the hanger and is a bit smaller in size. I cannot use it for my husband's clothing at all, as the shoulders hang off too much. This type of hanger is also not nearly as sturdy as the suit style. All of these hangers save quite a bit of closet space. You don't realize how much horizontal space your hangers are taking up until you switch to this ultra thin hanger. It makes quite a difference, and being an A-type, I also like that all of my hangers match. Amazon's price is much cheaper than what I paid for the first batch of hangers at a big box bed and bath store. In summary, I highly recommend these ultra thin hangers, with the exception of the shirt/dress style that lacks the bottom cross bar.

I ordered 5 boxes of these and didn't really want them but I was pleasantly surprised. Out of 5 boxes, only 1 box had a dozen hangers with excessive lint. Not a single one was broken out of 125 hangers. I took off the lint with some packing tape and changed out my old plastic hangers for these new velvet ones. Though they take up about the same space as plastic hangers, my closet looks a lot more refined and my clothes don't slip off as easily. These hangers are certainly not heavy duty though. I wouldn't hang anything too heavy on them. Also, be careful with the packaging. Each side has 12 hangers in plastic wrap so there's a stray hanger floating around in the box. I almost broke the strays a few times or stabbed myself trying to grab the next batch. Overall, not bad for the price.

These hangers are everything that they are advertised to be: They do keep your clothes in place and on the hanger & They do save space in your closet! I was able to change out all of my old plastic hangers on my side of the closet with these. Before I took up a little over half of our closet space and now I am taking up about 1/3! I plan on buying more in the future for my husbands clothes when we have the money to do so. These hangers are not cheap, but they are worth the money to replace the old plastic and wire hangers. Also the Super Strong ones will hold a lot of weight which is great for hanging coats and suits.

I wasn't even looking for "heavy duty" velvet hangers when I picked these up, and in hindsight I really didn't need them. However, now that I have them I'm definitely happy! No more bowing hangers when pants and shirts are hung together. No more shoulders of shirts hanging 6" past the "shoulders" of the hanger. No more shirts and pants slipping off the hangers entirely. I think I'll get another 25 that aren't heavy duty for my shirts, and then keep these heavy duty ones for my pants. I'm a size 18W, fwiw, and these hangers are more than adequate for you ladies who are sick of your clothes (esp. shirts!) falling right off of the hangers and into the bottom of your closet. In any event, these are the first velvet hangers I've ever owned and I'm definitely impressed! Not a bad price, either!

+++ FINAL UPDATE - PFFFT!!! Bunch more Bro--Ken! Yup... these break easily... they sure do. Wish I had given my money to a homeless person instead. This was such a huge waste of money and a really sad letdown. I am simply amazed to read someone say they find them sturdy enough to put heavy duty coats, etc on them. How can that be when mine all broke with no more than a short sleeve t shirt? I am gentle and take it easy on my things so, I am not manhandling these in any way and they snap over nothing. Wow... I am blown away and confused. Better luck to you if you buy these! ***UPDATE - THESE BREAK EASILY - 3 MORE headed for the trash. My opinion is slipping like falling stars... knocking a couple off because these seem to be so fragile. This was my opinion a short while ago: Great hangers - just what I was looking for. Clothes stay on and there is more room in the closet. Three stars because right off the bat the plastic around the metal hanger part broke and the metal hanger part came off with no way to repair it. Hanger is in the trash, completely useless and I am feeling a little sad. I am pretty conscientious and handle my things gently because I like things to last so this was a big disappointment for it to break so easily. Otherwise, I love the hanger. I am big and clothes traditionally slip off hangers making it almost pointless to hang them up. I like to hang my clothes up and these have made that a nice stress free reality. Think I will go through with small strips of duct tape and reinforce the plastic where the metal hanger comes in and see if that keeps any more from breaking. Give my closet a little velvet and duct tape trailer park vibe. Oh well... you gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes. Such a good idea it will probably bring it up to five stars!

I found these kinds of hangers at a local Marshall's recently and loved them so much that I decided to invest in more through Amazon. First of all, the no-slip velvety coating is awesome; I love scoop-neck shirts but have broad shoulders, so normally my shirts slide right off of normal hangers -- not so with these bad boys. (And for the record, I have not had any issues with the velvet coating shedding onto my clothes.) Also, these are wide enough across that the sloped ends of the hangers don't leave little pucker-marks if you hang clothes on them to dry. The grooves are useful for hanging tank tops and the like, and the fact that these are incredibly thin means that they take up a lot less space on a hanging rod than plastic hangers do. I have yet to test whether these can really support 18 lbs. like the package claims, but so far they've held up under sweatshirts and ballgown-length dresses -- unless you're planning to line-dry sopping wet snowgear on them, I imagine they'll prove pretty durable. Highly recommended!

These hangers are made very well! They and very strong and are great quality. The material on the actual hanger makes them very good at keeping clothes on the hangers without slipping off.

I purchased about 100 of these velvet hangers to give my wardrobe a makeover, and what a space saver! I used to have a mix of plastic, wood and those horrible thin metallic hangers from the dry cleaners and I never knew what difference these velvet hangers would make. As a result, I can hang more clothes, my closet looks less cluttered, no more straps slipping off and I'm in love. I made sure to get the heavy duty ones hangers for suits -- I'm petite and wear mostly dresses, but from the reviews I scoured the internet for, these babies are the most durable and versatile. They're a bit more expensive than the velvet hangers for shirts and dresses from Closet Complete, but they're worth it. I had no problems hanging heavy knitwear with these.

My favourite clothing hangers. I have replaced all plastic hangers in my closet with these non slip ones. They are the best. Quality is impressive as they are still so light and thin. They can hold up a lot, even a goose filled winter jacket. Will continue to purchase.

I received my hangers last night and immediately threw out my old ones (plastic, wooden and some wire...Ugh!) My main purpose for getting them was to avoid those shoulder marks that some of my sweaters and tops get. After reading reviews I saw the biggest benefit, which is closet space. I absolutely love the way my closet looks now. I wont be able to take down the clothes as fast as I use to due to the non slip feature of the velvet but its worth it. Price was right! I bought the pack of 25 and 2 packs of 10....ALSO, Something I read in one review after reading dozens was the difference between the ultra thin for shirts and dresses and the ultra thin HEAVY DUTY for suits. I purchased the heavy duty ones that included the bottom bar because I could also hang skirts and pants and that would also help with space. I'm glad I got to read that review and make that change. I can see where the difference would have come in.
