I took a chance, though I'd always thought a faraday cage would require grounding. The VONETTI Originale Premium works perfectly. Easy test, I put my new key fobs in it and with item in-hand, I tried to access my vehicle. Even holding it up to the side glass as close to any sensors as possible, my vehicle did not detect my key fob. I removed it to open the vehicle (it auto-unlocked immediately upon removal), climbed in, put the fob back in the Vonetti and tried to start or otherwise access the vehicle while surrounded by key sensors. Nothing. No detection, no access. Great product. Love the felt lining which should keep from scratching or marring my fobs. Glad I took a chance and got 2 (I have the usual 2 fobs) instead of just trying 1 and ordering another later.

I very rarely if ever plug products; in fact, this is my first ever Amazon review! But this particular product has me pleased enough that I'm making the time. After 12 years of loyalty to my last car, I recently purchased my first vehicle with keyless entry. I spent hours reading up on different methods for preventing theft, tested the aluminum foil method (which, by the way, did not work even with several layers of heavy duty foil), and examined the designs and reviews of several Faraday boxes & bags. Other brands and styles out there, but I finally decided on this because a) I didn't want to store my fobs in the fridge and compromise their battery life, and b) this is the only one that fit my needs for portability AND had 100% solid reviews for performance. The day it arrived I tested it out with fresh batteries in both fobs for strongest signal; the results were in line with its reviews. With the fob inside and the cap on, I wasn't able to unlock my vehicle with the door handle button (even when holding the box in different positions against the car). With the lid off and the fob inside, I had to hold it sideways with the open top pointing toward the vehicle for the door button to activate. It's a bit pricey and does add one more thing in life to manage but, to me, it's far less expensive/inconvenient than vehicle or content theft. It fits nicely into even the tiniest of handbags when going out, is lightweight in the backpack for hiking, and it's designed to last. My only suggestion would be making the logo more discreet for a sleeker look, but that's negligible compared to the peace of mind it gives me. I highly recommend this product, and have just purchased another one for my spare fob.

Let me tell you a little story that will explain why you should consider this product for cars/trucks that are "late" models: I purchased 2016 VW Touareg and primarily my "better half" drives it. I even purchased her one of those really cool real leather key/fob holders with key chain attached. All was well and everything worked great until... One day my wife walks back to the car with groceries. As she was approaching (30-50' away?) the car, the car blinked (as if unlocked) and rear door started opening. My wife pretended as if nothing was happening and closed the rear door. After that, she opened a side door instead, loaded groceries in the car and drove off. My moral is - I know that someone with a scanner already registered the signal frequency and replicated command to open the rear door (to load groceries?) for my wife. As if pranking her... We are lucky we came across this RFID, signal blocker. It DOES work. When approaching the car with it being a case - no comprendo. Once it is removed out of the box - our Truffles (Touareg) wakes-up. Very good size - our fob fits well. Not too much movement (photo 2). I can only imagine for those in big cities and not to think ahead - would be silly. Get this now - it looks "clean" and lined with soft felt within. Well-thought through product. Definitely worth to own. Highly Recommend! A+

Excellent product. High quality manufacturing and metal. This is not some cheap piece of junk, it's quality construction. The lid fits on smooth and secure. The black color is not paint that rubs off but seems a permanently embedded color. I keep this in a small metal bin which is made of rough metal, yet this Key Case doesn't have one scratch on it after weeks of use. It works perfectly. No signal escapes this even if you hold it to your car door. I don't carry this around and keep my key in it at home. Along with keeping somebody from ghosting the key - which I'm not much worried about at home - it also keeps the car and key FOB from accidently talking to each other and wearing out the FOB battery. If you carry around a purse, this would be perfect. For my pocket, it's a little bulky for me but some might be ok with it when out and about.

Bought this to block my keyfob signal, does a great job. Not having to do a DIY aluminum gum box is good. Pros: 1 - Is it as advertised 2 - Good quality materials 3 - The inner lining feels good, keep your keyfob from scratches. 4 - Complete enclosure, no gaps or opening Cons: 1 - Not big enough to enclose with a keyfob cover, it's designed just for the keyfob alone 2 - No hinge design like a cigarette lighter design, that would be cool 3 - Big and have to uncap and recap before getting in and after getting out of the car...

This product works!! After watching the local news about thieves accessing vehicles without needing the car remote, I immediately purchased the Vonetti Alpha Shield Premium Keyless Go Protection. I’m a prime member and received the product the next day. The price for this box is very reasonable for what it can do. My car has a push button starter. If someone were to gain access into my car, they could simply drive off. I looked for a product that could block my car's signal, so I purchased the Vonetti Alpha Shield Premium Keyless Go Protection. This box is so effective that even if you are sitting inside your car and the remote is inside the shield box, your car still will not pick up your car’s signal. It will say, "cannot find remote." You must physically remove the remote from the car shield box in order to start your vehicle – now that’s protection. The remote has a lining that makes it easy to slide the remote in and out of the box. The only negative, the top is not welded to the box and therefore the top or bottom can separately if you drop the box instead of remaining together. But other than that, I rather be inconvenience by a minor design than to worry if a thief can steal my car.
