It took about 20 minutes to set up, download the app, then it had a update. I thought it would be harder to set up but the app is pretty easy to use. First thing you do is set up a map, I only wanted my living room and kitchen done so I closed all the doors and it goes around the house then goes home and starts cleaning. I was impressed! It did a really good job. I have a cat and littler seems to always be on the floor. It got all of it up and the cat did not mind also. It also has a lock feature to keeps kids and pets from starting it and I like that for when I am not home. The tops come out easy and make dumping them simple. The mapping is cool, you can see where it has gone, you can rename it also. It is not super loud, it is a vacuum so there will be noise but nothing crazy. Super well made and I have floor runners going to my kitchen about a 1/2" tall and it went over it with no problem 5 stars!!! Review: Thorough and slow - I like clean floors. It’s a holdover from when I used to walk around barefoot all the time. I’d hesitated on robot vacuums because I didn’t realize how advanced they’ve gotten—and honestly, I can still vacuum or mop my whole place faster than a robot can. But a robot has one big advantage: it can get to places I either can’t or just won’t. A lot of older robot mops just dragged a pad around, and once it got dirty, it mostly spread that dirt instead of cleaning. This one is different—it returns to the base on a schedule you can set to clean the mop pads, which makes a noticeable difference over a full run. The mopping is actually pretty impressive. The pads spin, and they’re mounted on extendable arms that reach edges and get close to corners instead of leaving a strip of untouched floor. That said, it does sometimes leave the floor a little wetter than I’d like in certain spots, so drying time can vary. The vacuuming is solid, too. It navigates well and gets under most furniture, although the lidar “periscope” does make it a bit taller, so it may not fit under lower-clearance pieces where slimmer robots might. It also integrates easily with Alexa—I have it set to start as part of a morning routine, which is a nice quality-of-life upgrade. The downside is time. My condo is about 1200 square feet (and realistically less to clean because of furniture), and it still takes over an hour just to vacuum, and more than two hours to vacuum and mop. It can handle vacuuming on a single charge, but my first vacuum-and-mop run needed a recharge partway through, which takes a few hours. That meant I had to cancel it before it finished. On the next run, it did complete everything in one go, so it seems a bit dependent on conditions. Bottom line: if you want consistently clean floors with minimal effort, this works really well. If you want them clean quickly, you’ll still be faster doing it yourself.

Thorough and slow

You deserve it
I have another Roomba and when I tell you there is a DIFFERENCE omg I’m in love lol! This thing actually mops! It’s scrubs not just lightly wipes like my other one did. It also gets closer to the wall/corners than my previous one. The suction on this is amazing in comparison to previous models. Navigation is another upgrade. With obstacle detection, it maps efficiently and avoids common hazards like cords, my shoes, my dog, my dogs bed lol which used to be annoying as heck. Especially considering my dog wouldn’t move and the Roomba wouldn’t either it was the craziest thing. The Roomba would throw an error and my dog would just lay there while it’s making noise basically on her. The biggest strength for me is automation. It doesn’t just empty the dustbin it also washes, heat dries the mop pads and self cleans. However I still think these are ideal for people with 65-75% hardwood. If you have mostly or all carpet it will still be great but I think these are just better designed for the ratio I gave above. I think a cheaper model is better for all carpet. Lastly, it’s BULKY. Like incredibly bulky but it’s so convenient 10/10 for me

Just received it, and seems like it’s going to be amazing!
This just arrived, and upon opening it and reading the instructions, I am very impressed! I am so excited to get this Roomba up and running in my household. I will update this review within the next few days, once I have had a chance to see how well this works and how easy the set up is. I have a lot of obstacles on my floor for this robot to navigate around, so I will be able to give that feature a good test! IRobot is a well-known and very good brand, so I have high hopes for this to be a fantastic product!

Fab Device…but no instruction manual?
This is a comprehensive review so settle in. Performance 4.5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨. I’m deducting a half star because I specifically got this to maintain the kitty litter that seems to scatter EVERYWHERE with minimal effort from our four in-house feline friends. While the Roomba gets a lot of it, it doesn’t get it all. I scoop litter 1-2x a day and I always used a dust pan to get what jumps out on paws. My hope was that I could use the Roomba to save me from that task. The little brush will sometimes scatter litter back into an area it has already swept so it leaves a several pieces behind. It was a lofty goal, but for the price tag I really wanted it to get it all. What I hadn’t anticipated was it being able to fit under some furniture and clean beneath it and that’s pretty awesome. It also lifted itself somehow over the bottom legs of my IKEA kitchen stools and that left me in 😲 This does a very nice job vacuuming the carpets and getting around the edges of rugs. It will first map out the area you want it to clean and then it will rhythmically go back and forth. It’s very satisfying to watch. It’s also reasonably quiet. Our cats were weary at first, and three of the four like to stay out of the way (*see video), but now that it’s run several times they look at it with curiosity and show no fear. The loudest it gets is when it empties the dust bin and I’d say that lasts for about 5 seconds. The cats did NOT care for it the first time they heard it and they scattered rather quickly, but now that they’ve heard it several times it’s more annoying than scary. It is also safe around your pets. You can look at the video and see how our Howie interacts with it. It also vacuumed around him once when he refused to move. I’ve had it vacuum and mop our bottom floor and I’m pleased with the way it’s gone. I typically spend about four hours every weekend cleaning the house and getting it ready again for the week ahead. This is going to check vacuuming and mopping off my list. I run a tight ship so by the time the Roomba entered our home it really only needed to maintain my level of cleanliness. Could you eat off my floors on a typical day? Yep! So consider that based on what you expect. If your floors are pretty dirty, I might suggest you do a deep clean on your own first and then this baby will maintain it. Will I probably still mop the floors myself? Yeah, probably from time to time just because I know myself and I’ll need to SEE that it’s truly clean the way I need it to be for my sanity. IYKYK. But that is going to happen much less frequently now, and that’s fantastic. Product Instruction Manual: 1 ⭐️ I’m giving this one lonely star because there isn’t an instruction manual (truthfully zero because how can you award a star to anything that doesn’t exist, but I digress). I know! Hard to believe, but it’s true. I even had to Google it thinking maybe mine just wasn’t packed with one by accident. Nope, it really doesn’t exist. It comes with a warranty packet and a Safety Manual. You must download the app to get a look at the Owner’s Manual. The owner’s manual goes through what each part of the Roomba is from a technical aspect. Where the dust bin, clean water tank, dirty water tank, etc. are, but why in the world they don’t have a quick start manual is beyond me! What an odd choice for such a highly technical device. I thought “Ah ha! Here it is! I can have some instructions on how to get my new toy running! ” when I first discovered it, but nay, nay. You, my friend, are on your own. The app is very handy for controlling the Roomba and monitoring it while it’s cleaning, however. You will have to start punching buttons, metaphorically of course, to figure out all you can do. But, if you want an explanation on what “Smart Clean” is well, it’s not there! 😂 I had to google it as well. If you’re curious, this feature allows the Roomba to decide how dirty your floor is and it determines the level of cleaning. I’ll never use that but it’s ridiculous that it doesn’t offer to explain what that is in the app (or if it does exist I sure as heck haven’t found it!). You can choose from smart clean, light, standard, and deep clean. You can also go room by room and choose how many times you want the Roomba to vacuum and/or mop over the surface, one or two times. So really it is highly customizable and who wouldn’t love that? This amazing device has so many cool things it can do, but it’s going to take me a couple weeks to truly learn them all, I fear. I’m not going to lose sleep over this but it’s supes annoying. Be sure to go through the map it draws of your home and make appropriate edits. Divide rooms, add furniture (if it hasn’t already done so) and so on. Again, you’re just going to need to be patient and may need to Google or ask ChatGPT for some advice on how to do some things. Advice: do not use foaming soap of any kind when mopping. Even though it says use water or cleaning solution of your choice, that’s a vicious lie. I used Meyers all purpose cleaning solution and I diluted it even more than recommended and it was disastrous. Oof! The suds caused the docking station to flood and leak on my wood floor and it stopped the heated dry from working. One could have learned this in a comprehension user’s manual but…see above. Anyhoops, I will continue to use this with plain old H2O. I could probably go on for another thousand words explaining what I’ve learned, but that will probably get boring. My final words are this: is this device cool AF? Yes! Will it save you time? Yes. Are your pets safe around it? Yes. Just prepare yourself for the learning curve. *takes a bow*

Wow!
Wow! I have been debating getting a vacuum/mop like this for some time now and after much research I landed with this model and it did not disappoint! I wish I bought it sooner. The set up, ease of use and practicality of it is superb. My only regret is I do not purchase it sooner!
