At least when I received these, they were all NEW. I've purchased other items and have received a mix of new and used items.These seem to be constructed reasonably well, and are not as flimsy. I wouldn't buy these again, because they aren't what I expected, but they weren't too bad in the end.

Easy to attach to each other in various ways. I was a little worried that the attachment is too weak but so far has worked well. Not played too much though so will see how well it lasts. A small spring makes opening very easy.
