Someone has removed the lever drain mechanism is my two bathtubs making a bath virtually impossible. At the same time I developed a leak from one drain due to dry and cracked old plumbers putty that needed replacing. This kit took care of all my drain issues and was not difficult to install though you do need a proper drain removal tool to make the job go smoother. The directions could have been a little more clear, it made no reference to the rubber gasket/seal so I used fresh plumbers putty under the lip of the new drain, between it and the rubber seal.

Well made and easy to install - once you get old drain trim out. I strongly suggest buying a drain removal or plug wrench to assist with this task, though it can be accomplished by careful use of a screwdriver or other pointed tool. You will have an easier time, and get a tighter fit on the new drain, through use of the specialized tool. The drain trim, with the included adapter, fits drain sizes 1-1/2 in and 1-3/8 in, and is a great replacement for almost any drain. The overflow cover is a little small in this kit (by about 1/4 inch, thus, the 4 stars), though the adapter for one or two-hole cut-outs is helpful. I had to buy a larger overflow cover at HD to cover old cover's imprint on fiberglass tub enclosure.

Perfect fit. Same as one sold at HomeDepot but cheaper.

UPDATE 11/1/2019As others have noted, the drain "popup" seems to be missing something - it's wobbly in the up position, sits at an angle and doesn't want to stay open, if it's bumped it falls down. In the down position it can be turned to seal though I have yet to check if it seals well yet. Others have complained it doesn't seal but I bet they're not turning it to engage the threads that hold a seal.I ordered another thinking this was a defective item but it seems to be a design flaw as they are all this way.10/26/2019This old lady is thrilled to have found this without hitting every plumbing supply in the county and probably still coming up empty handed or spending multiples of the price from amazon. Worked great on the old 1957 tub. Drain was 1.5", plumber said it wouldn't fit so I removed the plastic bushing and installed it myself. RTFM, boyz!Included washer does NOT belong between the threaded drain piecel and the tub, but goes between the tub drain and the waste pipe underneath the tub. Use plumber's putty under the lip of the threaded drain piece. Easy to install. Good quality. I really liked the simple instructional video which gave me confidence to be able to do it myself ... the right way.

The kit comes with no explanation on how to install, but it is very easy and intuitive. It works for both one and two screws overflow assemblies with no problem. The color is nice and the quality very good.

Installed no problem, replacing the prior broken one. Still in good use several month later; a definite upgrade from an empty hole into the drain!

Looks great and easy to install once you have the tool to pull out the old drain. Awesome way to update your tub when you don't want to rip it out.

The pricing is good and the quality is comparable to more expensive ones, however more black in color than oil rubbed bronze
