Good quality
This is very good quality. I have had slipcases on pillows all my life, due to allergies, but this one seems the best quality. The zipper is covered, so no uncomfortable metal to be felt under a pillowcase. The fabric is a tight weave to help keep allergens in check.

A godsend
I’ve been suffering with perennial allergies for years now. Every morning I’d wake up and just have sneezing fits for the first hour of my day. It took me a loooong time to realize this may be a dust mite allergy. Once I did, I bought these and I don’t sneeze in the morning anymore. It’s amazing! They may be somewhat costly, but to me they’re totally worth it.

Nice material! Not sure it works better than cheaper ones.
I can’t judge how effective this is at allergy protection, but it is a much nicer cover than the cheaper one I’d used for years. That one completely felt like plastic and was a bit slippery inside pillow cases. This one feels a lot nicer and is not at all slippery. I also don’t experience the crunchiness or crinkling that other reviewers have noted. That said, I did use a cheaper one for many years and it was fine. It didn’t cause any functional problems (the pillows didn’t actually slide out of the cases even though the covers were slippery). So I can’t say this one is really necessary with respect to the feel of the fabric.I am allergic to dust mites but I honestly can’t tell if anti-allergen pillow covers make a difference for me. I suspect that any help they provide is offset by the lack of an anti-allergen cover on my comforter, and maybe also my mattress. Alas, covers for those are much more expensive and I haven’t wanted to take the plunge.

Zip up pillows
Out with dust mites. I’m allergic to them. These zip up. That keeps them out. I recommend these

Actual Allergen protection without PVC/vinyl
Mission: Allergy is serious about their products. I did quite a bit of research before I ordered a set and found out there were only two or three companies that made products that offered real protection* without going to a pvc/vinyl sheet/coating. And I decided to go with Mission: Allergy and haven't looked back!Overall, I am VERY satisfied with my purchase. But from what I remember there was plenty of information out there espousing the positive points of the product. So I will skip over all the good and get just to the potential critiques.Be aware that they will make the pillow a little louder and slicker. It's not quite the same, but the closest I can think of it is it almost feels like a silk pillow case when you run your fingers across it. But remember, it's not the final layer.Unlike silk I never noticed it getting hot sleeping on it. Be prepared for a slightly crinkle/rustle as you move your head around. Every once in awhile there are some weird creaking/rustling sounds that I think are due to a combination of a memory foam pillow and this encasement flowing air at different rates, but they don't last long. (E.G. when you roll over and a low pressure zone is created between the pillow the encasement and the pillow is trying to suck up air faster than the encasement will let it pass through.)Also be prepared that the added slickness of the polyester encasement means that won't stay in the pillow cases as well. They may try and wiggle out every now and then, but a quick shake puts them back in their place. In the end, it's one of the of few products that seems* to give a real degree of bedding protection without going to the PVC/vinyl coatings that are impossible [for me] to sleep on. Yes, I know that polyester is synthetic and may be closer to vinyl than it is to cotton, but the bottom line is that Mission: Allergy has developed what seems* to be a real allergen barrier that is getting closer to cotton's sleeping performance.*I am not qualified to say how well something works from an allergen perspective. But I can comment on how it affects other head-on-the-pillow-aspects.
