These are well machined and quite close to their nominal size making them easy to use. They are stainless but I do not know the exact alloy. They are very, very slightly magnetic and barely react at all to powerful magnets. The steel is quite hard and does not score or mark easily.

Everything seems fine with these metal dowels EXCEPT they are too thick for standard DIY shelving holes. I waited too long to return them, so I'm stuck with them.

I am very happy with the product. However the case was broke in several places. So have them in baggies.

Would be a nice little kit but the box arrived cracked open in three places on the bottom.

Just what I needed for those shelves where the dowel that holds the shelf is just a tad too short. These fit great and are solid. The multiple sizes and thickness gives lots of options
