I do have to take my laptop out of its normal case to put it on this thing, but then it directly contacts all the fans on this unit and stays much cooler. Really useful when my laptop starts to run slower because it's overheating. I put it on this thing at max fan level (which is very quiet) and within a couple minutes my laptop is actually running its normal pace again. The super futuristic look of this thing is kinda funny IMO, doesn't go with anything else I own (more of an antique-style guy) but haha it works super well so it's fine. Review: Lasted Longer Than My Laptop - I got this for my 15” gaming laptop about three-five years ago, and it still works beautifully! I love the angle and fan speed choices. It’s outlasted two of my laptops during this time, and will likely outlast at least a third based on its current performance. It keeps my laptop cool even after hours of use, is pretty quiet on the lower speeds and is still relatively quiet on higher speeds (about an average tabletop fan noise, I’d say). It’s bulky to carry around, but that’s kind of a given with most gaming equipment. It also had some rough edges when I first bought it, and is a little clunky in design. However, the edges aren’t sharp enough to cut, just a bit uncomfortable if you scrape against them too hard - usually I run into this problem if I’m using a smaller table/desk or my lap, so if you’re using a standard desk then you probably won’t have issues. They also have worn down with age, so they’re not as much of an issue anymore anyway. ## Features - 【High Speed Fan】TopMate Gaming laptop cooling pad has 5 fans, the four outer fans and the large center super strong wind fan. I personally conducted testing to determine whether it could in fact do so. The results were somewhat disappointing with a standard-sized garden hose (1" diameter and 50-foot length), and a PGA regulation golf ball. However, results were more favorable when using a Nerf brand golf ball, and a six-inch long stretch of 4-inch diameter PVC ventilation hose. Now, if you seriously want to know whether this device works as advertised, I would say definitely yes. I am using it 24x7 to cool a TiVo Bolt whose design makes it tend to run very hot, and it has reduced the operating temperature significantly. **Q: is there a way to turn the lights off? while fans still run.** A: You can easily turn off the lights on the arrows (I've got my laptop on the pad as I write this, with the arrows off.) You cannot turn off the lights on the fans without turning off the fans. The lights indicate which fans are on. I am trying to figure out if there is an easy way to disconnect the LEDs on the fans. **Q: why is this having 2 USB ports???** A: I found that the use of my second usb port on the fan came into use after the first one wore itself out after about 2 years of use... so it could be a back up too. I run a usb hub of 4 to my laptop and then i run the plug in from the fan to the hub and use the other 3 hubs for whatever; wireless mouse, charging, ect. **Q: I use my laptop on the couch, this doesn't look like it would sit on a lap well.I could strap it to my broken cooling pad? TY puppy for chewing cord.** A: I have an older version of this product and have been able to use it on my lap without any serious issues. Over time the frame can become uncomfortable on the thighs but it is not slip-slidey or anything and the adjustable height is nice for different comfort positions. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps my laptop cool so it runs better with heavy processing or in summer *by C***S on December 17, 2025* This thing is really effective at keeping my laptop cool in the summer when I'm doing heavy processing. The fan does help to keep my laptop cooled down. I deducted one star because the included cable went bad shortly after I purchased, which I have read has happened to others as well. I was able to purchase another male-to-male cable and get it working again. I like that the lights can be shut off on the unit so that I can watch TV while being propped up in bed. I don't think it is very loud on the highest setting (like others have said), but that might just be because I am watching TV and have other noises in the background. Well worth the money I spent with keeping my laptop cool! ## Frequently Bought Together - TopMate C5 12-15.6 inch Gaming Laptop Cooler Cooling Pad | 5 Quiet Fans and LCD Screen | 2500RPM Strong Wind Designed for Gamers and Office - Logitech C920x HD Pro Webcam, Full HD 1080p/30fps Video, Clear Audio, HD Light Correction, PC Camera Webcam, Works with Skype, Zoom, Facetime, PC, Laptop, Mac, Tablet - Black - Anker Laptop Docking Station, 14 in 1 USB C Hub, Triple Display with 2 x 4K HDMI, 1080p VGA, 100W Power Delivery, 5Gbps USB-A/C Data Ports for MacBook, Dell XPS and More --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/81983665-c5-laptop-cooling-pad](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/81983665-c5-laptop-cooling-pad) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
