$6 saved the day!
My neighbor was throwing away her Shark vacuum. It was in good condition. She just replaced the filters and a few other pieces thinking those were the cause of the suction issue. I asked her what was wrong and she said she needed a new entire floor piece because Shark's website states once that hose is bad you need to purchase the Motorized Floor Nozzle. After researching the cheapest I found for a Shark Motorized Floor Nozzle for that model was $45.99 plush shipping. I went to YouTube (when in doubt, YouTube it) and came across someone who was replacing that hose piece but for a different model. I told myself I would at least try it. I will say Shark does NOT make it easy for you the replace this hose but it CAN be done! You just have to keep trying different ways to get it in place. Glad I tried it and it saved her $40 or getting a new vacuum! She was thrilled!

Fits!
I have 2 Shark NV-501 Rotators. This hose fits perfectly. I saw a review where they said they had to trim it. I didn't and you shouldn't. It compresses. It needs that length to bend with the elbow. One point I'd like to make about replacing anything on the Shark 501s, depending on the year, they may have different screws. One of mine was a phillip - no problem. The other is what they call a star safety screw - you'll have to get a bit to fit that.

Didn’t fit my Shark Rocket
The hose is a little off on the measurement. I ended up using it anyway and attaching it with lots of duct tape.At least it wasn’t expensive and I got it to work anyway.

Great replacement at great price
The only reason I did not give this thing 5 stars is that the overall quality of the material. For the price, I'm not complaining but I do feel like I'll be replacing this thing within a yr or so. On my unit I needed what is called a safety torque bit to replace this piece. They can be had cheaply enough that this is still a great deal.

Shark Rotator Professional NV650 Lower Hose Replacement
Perfect replacement for the lower hose on my Shark Rotator Professional NV650. I bought this hose for my Rotator that had a split in it causing it to lose suction & rendering it ineffective. I searched YouTube for instructions on how to replace the hose but only found instructions on replacing the upper hose for Shark or replacing a lower hose on a different brand of vacuum cleaner. I stumbled upon a blog that addressed the replacement of the lower hose & how to remove the damaged hose. It took some effort for me to remove the hose due to the adhesive that is applied at both ends. Once the hose is freed from the adhesive, you twist the hose counterclockwise to back it out of its slotted/threaded sleeve. Well 'sleeve' may not be the best description but hopefully it conveys the process. Since the adhesive still maintains some good tackiness, I left it in both sleeves without trying to remove it & threaded both ends of the hose into the sleeves & allowed the adhesive to seal around the end of the hoses. I use the term 'adhesive' but if I had to use something to create a seal around the ends I would likely go with a good clear silicone. I was fortunate enough that the hose ideally sealed on both ends without any leaks. One other piece of advice is if you're replacing your lower hose: go ahead & spend a few more dollars on replacement filters for all the Shark filters. You'll notice an improvement in suction & the absence of any odors that are emitted from the old filters. Worth the small investment.

Didn’t Fit
I tried replacing the broken duct hose, but the new hose didn’t fit in my vacuum’s rubber grommet.
