Crime Analysis With Crime Mapping

As textbooks go, this is on the high end of usefulness. Boba Santos is clearly an expert in the field, so the information is as good as you'd expect. The real winner here is the layout of the information - it flows logically, it's easy to follow. This is a complex field, and this text serves as an excellent primer for an introductory course.

This was a text for a crime analysis class I took and was not interested in prior to. However, the text was really interesting and offered a lot of useful information. I think Rachel Santos did a fantastic job presenting the information as well as the research for it. Anyone looking into crime analysis would benefit from reading this book.

This book was required for a course I was taking at the graduate level and is a decent enough GIS book, especially if you work with crime statistics.

This book is amazing, simply amazing. It's the first price of literature that that I've read that basically describes what one may look for in an analyst.

There is one thing that is key in Crime Mapping and is missing in the book: The analysis through street networks. Apart from that, a great book.
