Great price, worked as it should
I was fixing a coolant leak I had on one of my water jackets on my passenger side head on my 1998 4runner and I learned needed some of the Toyota 1282B seal packing. I was baffled when I learned a tube of that costs 90 dollars. So of course I’m trying to find similar alternatives or find it cheaper. Then I stumbled upon this. I am very happy I did. Since AISIN is the manufacture for Toyota this is the same stuff. I used about half the tube on all my water jackets along with a new gasket and so far this has worked great. No leaks to speak of. If your looking for the aforementioned Toyota stuff don’t waste your money on a $90 tube just get this instead. It’ll save you an easy 70 bucks!

This stuff is amazing!
Buy some and set it aside until you need it.I first bought some about 16-17 years ago to make a new oil pan gasket for my hilux. The gasket still doesn’t leak (follow the instructions to the letter) and shows no signs of shrinkage.

Good stuff
Used this on my 2012 toyota corolla s with the 1.8L to seal the timing cover. Works great! I also used a little on my waterpump even though it has a gasket. Would recommend for the price and amount. The 3oz tube is plenty.

5 stars.... but the expiration date was within a week of getting it
Had to replace a water pump on a 2005 Toyota Camry. After reading many forums on the correct FIPG I decided to go with this sealant versus Toyota's extremely expensive FIPG 1282B 08826-00100. I purchased the Aisin WPT-801 Engine Water Pump and followed their instruction carefully, which also said to use this FIPG on the outside of the groove in the pump sealing surface. I let the sealant cure for a full 24 hours before filling the system with Toyota's pink super long life coolant. One month later and no leaks whatsoever. NOTE: I received this sealant on Aug 23, 2019. When replacing the pump on Sep 2, 2019, I noticed that the tube of sealant said it expired on Aug 31, 2019. Since it was only 2 days past the expiration date, had a very pungent vinegary smell and smooth consistency, and I needed to get the vehicle back in service ASAP, I decided to use it versus returning it for a fresher product. If you plan on purchasing this sealant (or any other), please check the expiration date so you don't get yourself in a bind. Happy wrenching.

Be careful, loose threads on the step-down tip, may pop off when using.
I had to put a small bead down on an inlet plate so I cut the step-down tip to the size bead I needed and screwed it on the tube. While putting the bead down, the tip popped off making a big mess. The tip barely threads on to the tube and with pressure will pop off. If you are putting a think bead down and don't use the tip at all, then you're ok, but don't depend on the tip, you'll have a mess. I ended up putting half the tube in a syringe and dispensing it that way. For the money they charge, you would think that they could make the tolerances on the threaded tip fit a little better. Come to think of it, in all the years of using different gasket makers and silicone tubes, I've never had this happen until now.

Not sure how it works as my mechanic used it...no complaints so it must be great!
