VTech VM3252 No WiFi Video Baby Monitor, 2.8" Screen

Third baby and my angel care monitor stopped functioning. I had ordered a direct from the company v tech monitor that had a huge screen but never stayed connected to the cameras. This monitor is great, good picture quality the sound is great on it. The camera itself was easy to assemble and place and setting it up was a breeze. I will say the downside to this monitor is the size of the screen, it is small. The "stand" that it is supposed to sit upright with is just a bump out from the monitor and does not work well. What matters is that it's a video monitor and it's sound is clear and it's picture is clear. For the price it's worth it.

I LOVE THIS CAMERA! I am a caregiver so I bought 2 of these - one for me and one for a friend - to help us monitor our patients at night. The families are either unable or unwilling to purchase these for us to use so we got them for ourselves. My friend's clients wouldn't let her use hers, so I'm going to use them both now. My client can get up at night on her own so I install and uninstall my cameras for my 48 hour shift. My client is a fall risk, has dementia and is nearly always horribly confused especially at night or whenever she falls asleep. These help me to monitor her even as I sleep and when I'm doing housework! ⭐I was very sad when I realized that I could NOT use both cameras on a single parent unit, I'll have to take both parent units & set them up. 😫 ... Oh well. At least the hard part is DONE which is to purchase them! ⭐They DO work right out of the box! **Look on the side of the cameras and flip the switch to ON or they won't work!** I was freaking out the first time I bought them because of this issue! 😅👍 Don't be a goof like me!😁 ⭐I bought used ones. On a full charge they last about 6-7hours. I try to keep the parent unit plugged in unless I take it with me to the bathroom or when I shower. ⭐Night vision gets dark because it tries to save battery and you have to click a button to make it get a bit brighter again. Don't get me wrong, this IS NOT a deal breaker - just a minor inconvenience! It works very well though, if you have a night light ON in the room. (I keep the hall light on for more clarity.) ⭐Conclusion - I DO LOVE these monitors! So useful and helpful!

Nice product. Product is easy to use however directions were needed get product up and running. I feel that product should have come with an extension arm instead of having us purchase after the fact. The battery life is very good (30 hours). Picture quality is also clear and product stays connected to internet solidly.

I have two baby monitors, this vtech one and the Infant Optics DXR-8 Video Baby Monitor. I've used both over the past few weeks and they're both very good, but there are a couple of things that are just OK. I prefer the XDR-8. - The only feature this has that the DXR-8 doesn't is the ability to play music to the baby. I've never needed to use it. - This one can't be muted, it's a bit annoying if your baby is very noisy in general (my daughter plays quite loudly). The DXR-8 can be muted. - The user interface is not intuitive. There are three different volume controls and sensitivities that I still don't quite understand the use for. I did read the manual but have completely forgotten what they mean. I found the DXR-8 much more intuitive. - The settings revert to default when you turn the unit off and on again. (I always had to remember to turn the volume down after I turn it on). I turned it off to conserve the battery since we only used it at night and during naps. Again, not an issue on the DXR-8. - The "crying" LED/light indicator is small and sometimes it doesn't light up at all. Compared to the DXR-8 where the whole left side lights up no matter what the settings are. It's difficult to see out of the corner of your eye. I usually have the monitor on my desk and it's nice to be able to see it out the corner of my eye while it's muted. - This doesn't have a USB charger (the parent unit only charges from a wall charger). The DXR-8 comes with 2 USB cables for charging. - For international users, this comes with USA wall plugs. You'll need 2 adapters, but the voltage is compatible with 220V house circuitry. - You can switch between C and F (I have mine on C). - The camera can't be remotely moved. This isn't a huge problem for me becuase my daughter is young still (she's 8m old) and not very mobile yet. As she gets older I definitely think that being able to move the camera will be very useful. All of these things are relatively trivial. This functions fine as a baby monitor, but the DXR-8 is just easier to use and has really nice features. It is definitely a good quality product and I haven't had any hardware/quality issues with it. If you're on a budget then this is definitely a good option.

I bought the hello baby one first with the two cameras and it just felt cheap and I didn't like it at all from the picture quality to the layout/functions. So I went back to vtech (our first single camera one was vtech and just thought I would try something else) LOVE: the bigger screen! Picture quality! Nighttime mode quality is great! Camera movement! Ease of flipping between cameras! And we have had zero connection issues! And I like that you can download the app and view from your phone as well! WISHES: the kick stand on the back does seem flimsy where I wish it had the kick stand from the single camera model we have. And then when you're in split screen mode it only does sound for the screen that you're highlighted on. It has the panning mode which is why we got it. But I wish it did that with sound in the split screen mode. But we'll live. I don't use the music or talking functions regularly but they work!

Bought on July 2025, the cameras worked great but the connectivity to the monitor not the best, always lost connection if over 15-20 meter away (in enclosed space with walls here and there). Also the small plastic in the back to keep it stand still is crappy, if the monitor is not standing on completely flat rock solid, it will fall down or lose balance which will make you crazy if you wanna put it on your sofa etc.. Last but not least, theres 2 APPs and the one that was available in my “region” didn’t support this monitor, I need to go through the trouble to create an US Apple account and download it from US region, which is ridiculous. The reason I wrote this review is, 2 months ago the monitor already started to have issues with the charging port and it broke, I found some creative fix to somehow let it charge. but now the monitor completely died and It’s refuse to turn on anymore, didn’t last a year. Very disappointed from vTech quality, previously I bought Babysense old camera model and the connectivity was fine as hell. But I wanted to update for WiFi option + 2 cameras split. Do yourself a favor, find another option!

There was a short period of time we were having issues with the app and cameras linking due to an update that occurred. Once that was figured out, we have had really great luck using them. Having wi-fi monitors isn't a concern for us due to where we live. Having the option to pull it up on our phone versus having to use the monitor is great, especially when we are away from the house. It is also nice to have the talk feature, be able to take pictures, and play music. We have one camera set up in our baby room and toddler room. It's also nice to be able to turn on certain notifications such as sound or movement depending on which camera you are using.

I got this to replace a different monitor and I’m not super impressed with it. The battery doesn’t hold and it basically needs to be plugged in all the time. The volume is TERRIBLE. I usually hear my baby crying from downstairs before the monitor picks up his cry and then when it does I can barely hear him. I’ve actually slept through it overnight (luckily my husband heard our son). Only plus for this one is the large monitor and the picture is pretty clear but I wish I would have gotten something else.

Everything works well for a week, then 1 of the camera just stopped working. Unable to reset or pair the camera. To pair the camera, have to hold the pair button till there's beeping sound, but it doesn't work. So now I hv 1 camera as a dead paperweight.

Battery doesn’t last a night, Struggles to connect to the camera so we leave the door open. We might as well not have one
