Samyang Hot Chicken Flavor Ramen - Jjajang (Pack of 5)

Y'all. I'm not good with spice, but it's a work in progress and I'm building on it. It's very tasty when you think of Jjajang noodles as a norm with mild spice. These are very good and the nicest of this ramen range that I've tried. I deffo recommend trying it on it's own so you experience it at it's core. It's hot. Like my mouth was burning, my lips were on fire, breathing air was like inhaling heat; however, I just really like it and keep eating. I personally like to add a poached egg or 2 (or fried if you prefer) add in some peas (you do get a few in the dried veggie sachet), some cheese slices (dairylea or burger cheese, the plastic kind lol) and then some spring onion finely sliced or leek if you want something a bit more mild that spring onion to use as a sprinkle on top. This just adds to it and the flavour and yeah. Perfect meal for me. If you wanna add something extra, when your noodles are cooked, put a bit more than the recommended amount of the hot noodle water into a sauce pan and add the Jjajang sauce in and mix it on a medium-high heat. Then get you some premade rice cakes (tteokbokki) and cook 'em in that water on the hob. When they're ready, turn that heat on low or off the heat, pour your noodles in and combine for yum and then any other things to want to add to make it your own. A final thing to add is that, if you've had a rough week, have this. Eating something spicy and sweating it out, those endorphins from the heat is so good. Ok, ramble over, thank you for reading. I was pleasantly surprised by these noodles. I bought them mostly as a novelty - I wanted to see if they were really spicy - but I chose the regular version instead of the 2x spicy variety because I didn't want to completely waste my money. They're spicy, but "tingling lips" spicy rather than "tears and mucous running down my face" spicy. As per the instructions I boiled them for five minutes and stir-fried them for a minute, with some soy sauce, and threw in some bits of cooked chicken I had lying around. The noodles are thick, sticky, probably too salty to be healthy, but not overpoweringly spicy. You can eat them as regular food, not just a kind of Youtube challenge. They're in an awkward position of being too elaborate to cook for lunch at work and not filling enough as a meal in isolation, but they're just right if you're hungover and want a snack. My only quibble is that the accessory packet is perfunctory, but that's a minor thing. NB The five-pack is surprisingly large.

These were actually really nice!! Balance of spice and flavour!! Thesr are the best Buldak ones I personally think.

Probably my favourite flavor so far. I was nervous about adding the whole sauce packet due to other flavours having alot of heat but I think safe to put the whole pack in it's not overpowering. as long as you don't over cook the noodles texture is good

Personally, I came across these noodles in youtube. The noodles were springy and chewy just how I like them, however, to tell the truth it tasted disgusting. I noticed with all samyang noodles, they have this distinct taste, some might like it, others won't. Unfortunately, I don't like it, but if you like the 'samyang' taste, then I recommend it!

I was introduced to Samyang relatively recently and have become perhaps unhealthily addicted to them and I have them once a week now without fail (with bbq chicken bites from Aldi, if you're in the UK; with some poached eggs). I have tried the original black packet and the 2x spicy red packet, both of which are delicous. These ones have taken the spot as my favourite, flavourwise. They're not quite as spicy as the black packet, if the black ones are a 6, these are more like a 4.5, but the flavour is just so much more in depth than the black/red ones which are just SPICE IN YOUR FACE AND ON YOUR FACE. Would highly recommend!

My favourite noodles by far, and they came in mint condition with not a noodle broken. Will buy from this seller often. The flavour and heat is excellent, not the hottest but will bring a sweat on but not to hot so you enjoy the fantastic flavour.

Questi sono i miei noodles preferiti, tra quelli gusto Samyang sono quelli che trovo più buoni, ma attenzione perché sono davvero piccanti, non li consiglio se non si è abituati a livelli alti di piccante. Per tutti gli altri, li consiglio vivamente!

J’ai commandé ces ramens pour tester, connaissant déjà d’autres saveurs de la marque. Je voulais essayer le goût poulet épicé mais j’ai été assez déçue. Le goût ne m’a pas plu. Il faut aussi bien doser la sauce piquante, car elle est très forte. Personnellement je ne mets pas tout le sachet, juste quelques gouttes. Cela dit, j’apprécie toujours cette marque pour ses autres saveurs, qui sont meilleures à mon goût.
