It's not lighted but it definitely helps while reading small print. Overall we are happy with the purchase.

As a magnifier - great.As a tool - it seems that I get a lot of glare from nearby lights, and I end up moving it quite a bit.As a product - scratches easily. I religously keep it in the bag when not in use. the surface seems "soft".I do plan to buy a second, some time soon.

This item is very handy. Images are not distorted and the optics are clear and easily legible. I would purchase this item again. The fact that it is not made of glass is a plus as this material, when made properly, is not subject to chipping or cracking. You get what you pay for, as the cheaper versions can have severe distortion and are unpleasant to use.

The curved angle and the way it needed light to be usable didn't work for me. I gave it to an elderly relative who has very poor eyesight, and she thought it would work for her.

My husband needed something to enlarge blueprints, this was perfect. The case was great. if you pull away an inch or two it enlargers even more. Nice paper weight too.

Good it helps but no more than that.

Works great for reconciling bank statements. I do some bookkeeping work for a client who just gives me his bank statements with check images on it. They are really hard to read and this allows me to see his notes in the memo field so I know how to code the checks. I was using a hand-held magnifier, but this is so much easier because I can slide it over the current check image and have two hands free for keying. Very nice.

It was not the quality I was looking for and the price was way over priced. I got a 10X magnifier at a local hardware store for under $5.00.
