Quality not good

Every Vernier caliper must have parallel measuring edges of the jaws. The opening of Jaws of this instrument at the close has a wedge opening. The width of the opening at the far end is 200+ microns and at the middle it is 100 microns. Thus any measurements made on small round objects at near and far ends of the jaws will be at a minimum error of 200+ microns. Similarly the jaws for measuring inner diameter at the close has a parallel slit opening of about 250+ microns which is most undesirable feature. I am sorry to say that the instrument is hardly of any use.

value for money and useful for approximate measure, but not for 0.1 mm accuracy. thickness of divisions is thick in Vernier scale. Vernier scale locking mechanism is very poor. one can not hold the scale confidently. generally, readability of the Vernier- main scale is poor.

Have some zero error. It is made from sheet metal by simple manufacturing process so design is crude. At this price it can not be better than that. Suitable for general use.

The caliper arrived on time wrapped in cardboard, there was no damage to the product. It is approx 7.5" long, 2" wide at the prongs and .5" at the tail end. The wheel to move the prong for use is not very smooth. The material that it is made with is thin and needs to be handled with care. The scale markings are self coloured and hard to read in low light. This is ok for short term use where accuracy is not crucial.
