Good for price.
Remember the price. Cause its always get what you pay for and life is compromise. Designers to compete have to give strenths and weekenesses. I have a venue and our in house thester dance show is about to tour clubs bars and small venues. I habe about 20,000 in lighting instaled. Each mover is 1200. My leds from chana are 200 each. This light bar for us it what we are lookkng for. Cheap and very light. I just need to get a year out of it. The good. Price. Very very light and small. It has kinda bright lights. For the price very briggt just not what i am personalaly use to. I got one going to get a couple more. This is a lot like the chauvet tri LT but cheaper. It may be and off brand. But inuse chauvet show express and it used the same 15 channel profile. I use dmx. Im a snob. Id never use pre done programs. Wedding djs should do the same. Have some respect on the marrage. Use dmx and dont blink the slow songs people! :) So the compromise would be things like. Only three color leds. However the colors blend well. So three is more. They say million on leds but really its like six or seven pain then red can turn to pink etc. the white is great for the price same with like magenta. They tellow is teally yellow. The stand is about 6.5ish feet. Its thin and small. But it works. But make sure it works for your needs. I didnt want the the stand. I wanted three groups of four lights i could rig with power wireless clips etc. and slap on and off the light. And pack in an RV. There will be bands that will use two to liggt them selvs up in front snd be happy. But im a snob i would not be. It would be darkish. So hers what im doing snd you can copy as ive dont this a long time. Get the cheap 350 dollar truss sytem. Im getting six chrap 24 led pix strips. And three of these and trying to decied what to do in front. All in is less than 2000. Rig it with dmx. Ive learned the lea types of lights you have is easier. The dmx patches will alow you to. Acess 12 clever chase programs. Make them brighter. Speed them up slow it down. Change colors of the four lights indavidually ussing RGB and a master strobe and dimmer. So if your like. I dont want to have them all stobe at the same time. Just create it in DMX or use the pre created chases. I can tell you always buy quality movers. But you can save money buying off brand LEDs.

A very nice light bar for the price; the DMX was a bit confusing to program...
After reading all the positive reviews, I decided to take a chance and purchase 2 of these light bars for my wife's non-profit business. My wife and I host a free karaoke/dance party for disabled kids in our local community. Because of our limited budget, we needed quality lights that were also affordable. Quality lighting have always been difficult to budget for because of our special situation. See, we need lights that fade in and out gradually versus ones that blink or move randomly. A few of our disabled kids have epilepsy and/or other medical conditions that prohibit the use of moving and/or blinking lights, so the choices were limited... I'm really impressed with the build quality of these lights. They are super bright and feel like premium lights compared to other. However, I was a little underwhelmed with the built-in programs. The light bar only offered a single mode that fades in and out. As such, I was forced to purchase a DMX controller and learn the ins and outs of DMX programming. Wow, what a difference the DMX controller makes! With these lights hooked up to a 16 channel DMX controller, I was finally able to achieve exactly what we needed for our business. I've managed to program a series of chases that gradually fade from one color to the next with silky smooth transitions. These lights are a solid * star purchase in my book and I will likely purchase more as our budget permits. I found the instruction booklet to be a little confusing regarding the programming of these light in DMX mode, so I've decided to share my results. These lights need a 15+ channels controller to control them individually. The Channels are as followed: 01 - Unknown (turns the lights on/off randomly, but doesn't do anything "productive" with my controller) 02 - Brightness (increases/decreases the brightness of ALL the lights; I use this for manually dimming a chase scene) 03 - Strobe (increases/decreases the rate of strobe of ALL the lights) 04 - Light 1 Red output +- 05 - Light 1 Green output +- 06 - Light 1 Blue output +- 07 - Light 2 Red output +- 08 - Light 2 Green output +- 09 - Light 2 Blue output +- 10 - Light 3 Red output +- 11 - Light 3 Green output +- 12 - Light 3 Blue output +- 13 - Light 4 Red output +- 14 - Light 4 Green output +- 15 - Light 4 Blue output +- 16 - Unused

This product is GREAT!!
This product is GREAT!!! I know there isn't a lot reviews for this product. But let me say this product is very bright and very productive. Sound activation mode is spot-on with the base of the song and the lights are very bright. Purchasing these nights at such a low price made me wonder where there they would be bright or not but from my personal experience they are bright enough. They are perfect for beginning DJs. The only thing that I find wrong with this product is that the stand that comes with the product is hard to fit back into the case that comes with the lights themselves. But other than that I have tried them with Tejano music and they correspond perfectly with tejano music as well as EDM Rock rap hip hop and many more generes of music. From ozzy to Journey to Daft Punk and Skrillex not to mention dance songs like Cha Cha Slide and teach me how to Dougie it is a great beginner light system. My next step is a professional sound system. I also purchased The Chavuet fog machine that is recommended with this product and it as well works great if you are a beginner. More reviews to come soon as I get more gigs. All in all this is a great beginner lighting system that I highly recommend. But the only problem I have with it is that the stand is hard to insert back into its case. But that is the only concern that I have.

Awesome set for gigging in bars or medium size venues
Update! Still using these all the time, still loving it!! I got two for my band. We added a cheap DMX controller to use more of the light the way we wanted to adjust them and customize color. You can't beat the price for what you get, really awesome light. Easy to set up and take down. Mostly, the sound active setting is awesome for me because I'm not a lighting expert but it easily works for performing, I can just concentrate on our show and sound, and people love seeing the lights when we play our metal. It works awesome! It seems like something that would be way more expensive. They go pretty tall as well. I used one bar on my porch for Halloween with a fog machine to scare trick or treaters. Everybody loves these lights.

Super lightweight and bright
I used to DJ small events, like family reunions and small weddings, and have a lightbar similar to this, but with the par cans that hold a single flood light, and a single colored gel inserted. This means that my old lights are limited to one color. I hardly DJ anymore, but wanted to "update" my stuff, even if it's just to light up my living room while blasting dance music with the kids. I decided on this light bar. It came in a HUGE box, that ended up being the "box in a box", so the actual product is not huge. I got two boxes - a tripod to set it on, and the light bar unit, that contained 4 lights attached to a bar, a separate power cord, and a corded foot pedal. I've only had it set up in my living room (and not a dance hall), so while I can't give a first hand account of it effectiveness in a hall, I can tell you these lights are SUPER BRIGHT! Much brighter than any flood light I've used in the older setup. Pros: Relatively inexpensive. Lightweight. I mean, REALLY lightweight. You can't appreciate this comment unless you have had to lug around the older styled par car light system. But trust me, you'll love how light weight this set up is. The controller has preprogrammed modes you can set it on, as well as a sensitivity dial so you can get it to respond to the music. You can use preprogrammed, or sensitivity, OR connect it to a DMX device. I've never used a DMX controller, but the hook up is there is you want it. The pedal has 2 pedals - one for cycling through programs, and the other for fading all the lights off at once. The fade pedal is a little sluggish, and I've had to step on it a couple of times to get the lights to turn off. You know how at the end of Let's Go Crazy by Prince how it all rises and crescendos, and then a huge BAM at the end? If you want the lights cut at that VERY PRECISE MOMENT, either I need practice or you'll be disappointed. Maybe this is where a DMX device would be better than a pedal. As mentioned above, the lights are BRIGHT and blinding up close. They also change colors!!! One light, multiple colors! No more limitations to the gel color. Blue light on the left - no wait...oh snap, now it red! Just kidding - but it is nice that each of the 4 lights (THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS!!) changes colors. Oh, and because the lights are led, they are nowhere near as hot as the older flood light bar was. AND, the tripod and light bar setup each comes with a travel bag (wasn't expecting that). Cons: I've only used this in my living room, so I'm not sure how it will project when I get it in a gym or a dance hall. The tripod is thin and lightweight, but this could be an advantage in transporting. It's also doesn't have a heavy load to bear, so it doesn't have to be as sturdy as the older one. I did notice that the tripod didn't seem to extend quite as high as my older one. And about the leds - no clue if they can be replaced. My older one, if the light stopped, you bought a new flood light. Not sure how long these leds will last, or how to replace/repair. Overall: For about $200, we are going to rock out our living room with this lightbar! If I ever DJ again, this is definitely coming along. Bright, lightweight, affordable, and professional looking. Party on, Wayne! Party on, Garth!

NIce, really bright, stage lights. Good Value.
These lights are really bright, and ready to go basically straight out of the box. I do wish they were a little taller, but it's by no means a deal breaker. Everything seems to be decent quality, and the carrying bags are ideal. It has some cool lighting patterns, but finding the one you want can be a little confusing....and hitting the blackout foot pedal seems to reset the lights each time, a little frustrating. Overall I'd say they are great for the price. I hope to learn them a little better going forward.

Great alternative to the name brand with some tradeoffs
First off I think this product is a great alternative to the Chauvet GigBar. The stand seems nice, the lights work well and are nice and bright, it's pretty easy to figure out and everything seems to be built well. Love having the power built into the bar. Having said all of that there are some tradeoffs. The foot switch works well that comes with the kit, but I'd much rather have a handheld remote for my needs. Rather than having to cycle through everything to get what I want I'd like to have it ready at the push of a single button... and you could achieve that with DMX but it'd be a lot less of a hassle just to include an IR remote in the set. The instruction booklet seems to suggest there's some IR functionality and I was hoping a universal IR remote might work but I've tried several and none work with this set, so it's foot switch and DMX only. Next, I wish there were a setting where it would fade from color to color without it having to blackout in between. You may be able to achieve that by programming with a dmx controller but it's not something you can do otherwise, it doesn't seem. Overall it's a great product for the money.
