Review: Healthy, easy, beautiful result! - For several years I have been using ONC colors because I thought it was supposed to be natural and healthy with no harmful ingredients or anything I am allergic to since I am allergic to anything related to acrylates which hide in many hair care products. I recently got an app called yuka which rates the safety of food and personal care products and my ONC color got a terrible rating because it still contained several chemicals including PPD which is very harmful. It suggested an alternative product which was this Surya Basil. It contains no harmful chemicals, only natural ingredients, it had no smell at all, and it was so easy to use. I have used pure henna powder before and it was messy, inconsistent, and took forever. This was a relatively thin and easy to distribute gel/cream, and the suggested times to leave on ranged from 30 to 60 minutes depending on starting color and product color. Mine was Red, and I left it on for a good 60 minutes. The result was great! The color is very pretty, it colored consistently throughout my hair, and my hair seems healthy and shiny afterwards. I highly recommend!!! I can’t believe I used the other “natural “ product for so long!!!!

**Q: How long does this last and how many washes does it take to rinse out ?**
A: Henna cream takes 7 to 10 washes to complete rinse out.

**Q: What is the current expiry date for burgundy? They sent me two bottles that were 2-3 weeks from expiry date last time and the color did not stick.**
A: Although I didn’t use the Burgundy color I try to give an answer on some typical questions in connection w/this product. Remember this is a Henna product and does not color fast  product has to stay much longer in your hair than normal. 2x or 3x longer and pls take 1 or 2 shades darker to get a more desired color. Hair should be clean and not greasy. No hair conditioner before using this product. Shake well before each use and using the product 2 or 3 weeks after expiration date does not make a difference even several months up to a year. Keep product in a cool and dark spot! Success!

**Q: so this contains everything I need, yes?  no mixing of products?  just one bottle with liquid that I put onto my hair and rub in, yes?  Tx**
A: Yes, it's ready to go. Just put it on your hair, put a shower cap on it for an hour, rinse it out, and you're good to go. Your hair will be silky soft, beautifully colored, and the color will last 2-3 weeks. I've been using it for years, and I love it.

Beautiful color. Easiest to use. Great price. I also love their Marsala color. Ive used this brand for YEARS. Ever since I started using Henna. I wish I wouldn ave taken a before and after pic, but I leave it in my hair all night while I sleep and get that deep red color. No chemicals to damage your hair. Simply the best product in my personal opinion ♥️
