Chamois is decent if not a bit thick. Plenty warm on a wet, 40* ride. Only real complaint is the ankle cuff. The zipper and silicone strip is a nice touch but even zipped, the pair I received flare out at the bottoms. Maybe an anomaly in production.*Update 3/9/2019* - I was contacted by the seller and even though I'm past the return window with Amazon, the seller has offered to replace this product for me. I've raised my review by 2 stars based on excellent customer service. I'll update my review again once I've received the replacement tights.*Update 4/9/2019 - I have received a replacement pair of tights and these are much better. They actually changed the design of the cuff providing a better fit on the ankles. I generally wear size 32x32 or 32x34 pants and these fit me well.I bought these because I ride a hard tail mountain bike, and I ride pretty hard over rough terrain, and at the beginning of the year or after a longer ride than usual, my rear can get pretty sore and bruised up because of the seat. The butt pads definitely help with that, although they're a bit awkward to feel when your walking around.
