My First Book of Knots: A Beginner's Picture Guide (180 color illustrations)

My grandson enjoyed this book for his fifth birthday. He successfully tied a rope to his bed and threw it out the second story window while Dad was in the shower. Fortunately he did not successfuly rappel up the building as he was caught in the act!

It really is a diverse introduction to knot tying with great pictures that attract one's attention. A gave it as a gift with a roll of rope.

Gift for my grandson a boy scout

I got this for my son for his birthday and I am so glad I got it! I looked at quite a few but decided on this one because of the illustrations. It has everything from basic knots, tying a tie, fishing knots, and everything in between. It is such a great book and I know he's going to love it. Highly recommend!

Absolutely an easy way to learn how to do macrame!! I’ve already learned two techniques and made a keychain!! Every page is in color so it’s very clear to see what the directions are telling you to do! Awesome!!

Got this for my son for his 8th birthday. It’s been a solid favorite for both him and his younger sister all year. Easy to follow pictures for independent study. He learned so much from this he was even able to teach knots to his Cub Scout leader!

This book was a gift to my 8 year-old grandson for Christmas who recently became a Cubscout. Unfortunately, the electric dirt bike trumped the knot book but I expected that. I was quite pleased with the knot book myself and I'm sure my grandsoneventually will be too. The illustrations are beautiful, the instructions are clear (all except on one knot that neither I nor my son-in-law could figure out), and the applications of the knots were adequately explained. I would highly recommend this book for someone of any age. I have one suggestion for knot-book authors. My old knot book came with a hard cover that had holes in it and included a nice piece of cord. Still have it, still practice my knots with that book and cord.
