They Work Well and are Light Weight
These lights work well and are light weight. They are as bright as expected, and they arrived in the time promised. LED bulbs do not need to be filled with gas under pressure like incandescent lights, so glass is not needed in its construction, making it very light weight and easier to install.

Nice soft light
Another great Feit bulb. Casts a nice soft not-too-bright light on our backyard floodlight, plenty strong enough to see the trees and the snow in the evening but not that awful blinding LED light quality. No flickering or anything, either. Just what we wanted!

Perfect for my stove top hood
Wolf reduced the number of light bulbs in their hood from 4 to 2. As a result, my wife complained that the light while making dinner was too dim, particularly as the winter has eliminated sunlight. I used these FEIT light bulbs to restore the light. Two 800 lumen light bulbs seem to work as well as the old model's four 400 lumen light bulbs. I have a happy wife again. We've had the Feit bulbs for just two weeks. I can't comment on the lifespan. One weakness of LED lights vs. halogen is their sensitivity to heat. In the past, I've had LED bulbs fail prematurely, most likely from the heat of the stove. I don't have any information on how well these light bulbs will hold up over time. The light bulbs fit perfectly in the space allowed. If someone is looking to increase the brightness of their GU10 bulbs over a range, these bulbs do the trick.

Dimming is better than I expected
Many other reviews not dimming limitations, so I was skeptical as to what I would experience. I am using five of these in a downlight chandelier, with an Insteon 2477D SwitchLinc dimmer. I control my home lighting automation with an ISY 99. I am able to set the on level at 1% (being the dimmest possible setting). With the old incandescent bulb, that would be the equivalent of the faintest of glows, perhaps equivalent to a candle wick having just been blown out - basically worthless light. With these bulbs, it's still rather bright, but nowhere as bright as 100%. I sort of expected this having worked with LED bulbs before, and found that they don't develop an amber hue as they dim. Rather, the light is always rather white in color. Other LED bulbs I have don't operate below 15%, so that this one goes as low as 1% is a surprise, and a good thing, because 15% would be too bright. I'm keeping them as the old incandescent bulbs would burn out every six to twelve months, so I'm looking forward to the reliability of LED. Would have gotten a five star rating if the light would take on an amber hue as the bulb dims, similar to incandescent lights.

So pleased with this light bulb it is ridiculous.
I bought a range hood a while ago, and shortly afterwards, the incandescent bulb it came with burned out. I bought a replacement pack of ten bulbs, and figured I'd be good for a while. I went through a bulb every 9-12 months. I figured, okay, it's a hot, stressful environment for a bulb, so it's not unusual to have it fail quickly. Still, it had me worried about the wiring, so I was hesitant to buy an expensive LED bulb, just for it to wear and die quickly. As it became obvious that LED bulbs were here to stay, and that it was pretty irresponsible to keep churning incandescent bulbs through there, I bought one of these for one of the sockets to try it out, while using the remaining incandescent bulbs in the other socket. It is now five years later, and the LED bulb is still going strong. I am, however, down to my last incandescent bulb, so I'm back to buy another one of these. The reduced hassle of having to swap the bulbs out alone makes it worth the money. (The bulbs are flush-mounted, so I need to use tape to unscrew them without taking the hood apart.) Here's hoping that their 22-year lifespan is accurate, and the old bulb still has another 17 left on it. It's plenty bright. They say 40-watt equivalent, which seems about right, maybe a little low. My hood with two bulbs has plenty of light for the stove. The translucent instead of transparent shield makes it less glaring than my other bulbs, while still being plenty bright. It's a very warm color, no blueish tinge. Their measure of 2700k seems accurate.

gradual on and off simulate an incandescent bulb
Just got it, so I can't speak to long-term performance, but works great so far. As tiny as it looks. It has a gradual on and an even more gradual off that I presume are intended to simulate an incandescent bulb (though they're actually slower). It dims all the way down, but the gradual off makes setting the dimmer a little difficult (i.e., you dim down but it doesn't seem to respond, so you dim some more, ending up overshooting the level you wanted).

3 Stars for china cabinet, but 5 STARS FOR OTHER USES
PLEASE READ MY SITUATION BEFORE DISMISSING THESE BULBS: I'm giving these 3 stars, because I bought two of these for use in a CHINA CABINET with built-in, three dimmer settings, and the bulbs keep turning off by themselves after a while--no matter the brightness setting. (The "on" times vary.) They look great and feel sturdy, and the light they put out is a beautiful, warm-white that matches in color and intensity. But they keep turning off. (I can turn them right back "on," though, once I notice, but they always cut back out after a while.) It may easily be a fault in the wiring in the cabinet or the dimmer technology used or some other light on the same circuit; but incandescent bulbs work as expected...and these keep cutting off. The china cabinet is a couple of years old, so an older or newer cabinet might act differently. I can only tell you my experience to give you something to consider. The bulbs are wired in a series, and they always turn off together, so I suspect incompatibility with the wiring--not bad bulbs. LED technology is just not as forgiving as incandescent, I've found. I'll probably move these to some recessed fixtures on another circuit that also need these small floods. These bulbs may easily be worth a 5 star rating in those. As I said, they put out a beautiful light! But for my 3-setting china cabinet, they just don't stay "on," and I bought them for that cabinet.

Superior lighting for curio cabinet. Replaced a high heat, underpowered halogen with this bulb that can be left on without adding significantly to electric bill or heat build-up in your cabinet. Very few makers of this type of bulb, so they get you on the price compared to other LED bulbs. Additionally, it will dim or handle low/high settings without flicker. High quality.

Light blub had identical light to bulbs that were 10 yrs old. There is nothing worse than having one bulb not match other set. I would purchase this product from Feit Electic again .rgds Gav

I received a 2-pack of these bulbs and Both were faulty. Light flickers even when the power is off! How does that happen?! I would like them to replace the product without me going to the hassle of returning the bulb.
