Thank you, Jacques, for making this book available! I used it the very first time for my wedding reception dinner, and my guests went crazy writing comments in the book (thankfully, all rave reviews of the food and the event). Definitely much more of a keepsake than my wedding guestbook, which virtually no one signed, LOL! And all else aside, who doesn't LOVE Jacques Pepin and his charming illustrations? If you're thinking of getting this book for someone else as a gift, I can also add that the quality is excellent, with a very beautiful and sturdy cover, and heavy pages that take ink well with virtually no bleed through. That said, i would definitely recommend testing a page with the pen you hope to use, as I found that a fine-point sharpie would bleed through slightly; but a dark blue gel pen did not at all. A simple dot in an inconspicuous spot is enough to test. I also added my own memories on other pages for our pre-wedding cocktail party and our Sunday brunch following. This is a book i am sure i'll cherish forever...and it's inspiring many more special occasions to come!

I ordered this for my daughter and son in law for their anniversary. They enjoy cooking and entertaining so this book is perfect for them. They both admired the beautiful illustrations in the book. With Thanksgiving coming they will use it for their menu and guests will record their thoughts about the day

This book way surpassed my expectations! I bought this as a Christmas present for my sister and as soon as I got it I ordered another one for myself! On each page there is a spot for you to write guests you had over and the meal you shared together. The left page is where you write the guests names and on the right you write the recipe/ meal. The page where you write the guests names has plenty of blank space, but the page where you write the recipe has less space for writing which might make it difficult if it’s a long recipe. The illustrations are gorgeous and each page is different! If you need a thoughtful gift this is a great option!

It is a great large size and the quality of the cover and paper is lovely. The illustrations are beautiful. Although it was packed well, the spine and front corner of the book was damaged.

What a charming, attractive book. Beautiful paintings. I lack the artistic talent to paint my own menus, but this is the next best thing. I often entertain - filling out these page and having my guests sign it has fast become a favorite tradition. I look forward to filling the book up and will soon have to invest in a second volume!
