Creosote Remover, by the bucket, helps keep the creosote away from your wood burner stack.
Creosote Remover by the bucketI heat my cabin with a wood stove, so smoke stack cleaning is yearly.I started using this to help make the clean up effort easier.I ran through a winter's heating and in the summer I opened the top of thestack, all I had was a light dusting to brush off. A pleasant surprise.USE is easy. They tell you how often to add this in a measured amount to your burning coals.that's about it. The reaction to this product to the burning coals is so uneventful, youcan't help to wonder if it is working.Your inspection of the stack will tell you how it is helping keep the stack clear of creosote.Very easy to use, the pail lasts a long time, and it helps keep the stack clean or cleaner thanif you didn't use it.RECOMMENDEDi do not know the seller nor did I get any product or money for my random review250305

So far It seems to be working.
We have heated our home with wood only, using a Century Fireplace Furnace for the past 25 years. We use about 5-6 cords a year. I burn using a fully closed damper 95% of the time so I have had to clean the flue (10" triple wall pipe) twice a year. Getting a good draft going to suck the smoke out, before opening the doors when adding wood, gets tougher and tougher as I get close to using about half the wood. When I clean the chimney I consistantly find the pipe about 1 foot down is reduced from 10" to 3" by creosote. (Hence the trouble in getting a draft.) From 2 feet down the chimney is lightly dusted with creosote. The build up is so solid it must be chipped with a paint scrapper before using the brush.Going up on the roof in DEC. is not a lot of fun.I found this product this year and have been using it as instructed. I have not seen the inside of the pipe yet (20 JAN.) because I have not had any issues with the slow draft. I plan to update this review when I sweep the chimney this summer or sooner if I experience draft problems. If it costs me 20 bucks to stay off the roof in mid winter, it is well worth it.

Works well
I had a soot/creosote buildup at the top of my stove pipe. After a week plus of using this it has dried up and fallen off. The pipe also had it do the same and fall down into the stove. I have no elbows so I didn’t have to worry about clogging. Now I use regularly.

Seems to be great value for the money
first off, not sure why amazon asked me to rate features, one of them being "easy to remove", lol. maybe they talking about removing the creosote..I am not sure if this product is really working in the chimney, but I will assume it is because there is a science behind the chemicals used in these products that has already been proven to reduce creosote build up. So I am going to assume that it is working. The nice thing about this product is it is a good value, you can put a little on a fire one or two times a week assuring to keep applying the chemical to the chimney. Where as a creosote log that is expensive requires you to put the whole treatment up the chimney in one fail swoop. I kinda like the concept of adding a little bit as you go.The only thing I noticed that concerns me is, since I can't put the plastic scoop over the fire to dump it, I put it on my ash shovel and dump it over the fire that way... It seems to have stuck to and stained my ash shovel, I am guessing some part of the chemical have melted and adhere to the shovel. I guess that is how it works in the chimney it adheres itself in a thin layer and prevents creosote build up via some sort of catalytic reaction.Again I have not gone up the chimney and inspected or done any scientific study of this product, but I like the fact I can just apply a little one or two times a week depending on how much wood I burn.. Especially if I over dampen and the stove smolder for a long time, I like to get it reheated and then apply a little of this stuff to make sure to clean out the tar and creosote I caused by over dampening the fire. With the big log, you put it all in at once and then you are stuck if you accidentally run an over smoldered fire unless you want to burn a whole new expensive log. So being able to apply just a little is a great idea I like it. I guess one could cut the creosote log up into smaller pieces, but why when you can just grab a scoop of this product and apply to hot coals and a fire.By the way mine arrived powdered and not hardened up like a brick, I read a lot of people saying it was hardened up. I am guessing they product must have some how gotten wet/damp before they got it. I have had mine for quite a while now and it is still scoopable, although I have noticed a few chunks sticking together, but noting like the big hard brick others are talking about. I guess time will tell.Over All, I love this product and at a minimum it give me peace of mind.
