CASIO F91W-1 Casual Sport Watch

Several months ago,I picked up the Casio A158wa-1jf for just under $20 dollars, and was pleasantly surprised at the stylish yet functional watch I’d received. Unfortunately, I lost it, so after perusing Amazon I decided to go for the classic F91W-1. It’s hard to get excited about a $15 dollar watch, but this watch delivers in too many ways not to get excited about it. First and foremost, it keeps good time and is easy to read. The watch is easy and intuitive to set (I just glanced at the manual), and the functions that it comes equipped with do their job well. My only complaint would be that the strap could use a little extra length. I have an 8 inch wrist, so a little extra real estate would be nice. The lume function also isn’t phenomenal, but it does the job on a dark night. In terms of water resistance (something that was fairly important to me) this watch appears impervious to any normal person’s needs. Washing hands, showering, or getting caught in rain pose no issue to the watch. I’ve also jumped off of a 33 foot bridge while wearing this watch, which would expose it to all kinds of pressures and stresses it’s not designed to take. The watch was fine. No fog under the dial or any apparent damage. If you’re looking for a watch that is under $20, does its job well, and packs respectable water resistance, id recommend this watch.

Just received my Casio F91W-1 and I absolutely love it. Lightweight, super comfortable, and packed with useful features like alarm, stopwatch, backlight, and calendar. The battery lasts up to 7 years (according to the watch tag) and the timekeeping is incredibly accurate. It may be simple, but that’s the charm. It’s iconic, reliable, and extremely affordable, every watch collector should have one in their collection. A true classic that never goes out of style. Highly recommended!

Anything I could say about this watch has already been said here. This is the number one selling watch in the world. Total production of the F91W since 1991 certainly adds up to more than all of the other digital watches made in the world... combined. If you eliminated one or two of the runners-up, there have probably been more F91Ws produced than all other wristwatches in the history of the planet added together. You don't achieve this sort of ubiquity by producing anything short of a design masterpiece. Yes, it's small. If you like to go around looking like you've got a cat food can duct-taped to your wrist, you will not like this watch. During the first Gulf War, I was so impressed at how enormous the 5600 G-Shocks that the Navy SEALs on board my ship were wearing in comparison to my dinky little F91W. The main complaint about the 5600 Series G-Shocks today is that they are too small. Go figure. Yes, the strap is short. I've got a pretty average-sized wrist and I'm buckling on the last couple of holes. There are remedies to this problem but a new band will probably double the cost of wearing this watch. If you've got Popeye forearms, you may want to look elsewhere. Other than that, I can't think of anything less than glowing to say about this watch. I've owned several over the years and, while I've followed the trends and have a few cat food cans myself, my newest F91W is getting a lot of wrist time recently. There is a lot to be said for a rugged little watch that costs less than $10, doesn't interfere with the cuff of your shirt, weighs almost nothing and doesn't make it impossible to fasten the velcro closure on my work gloves.

This is a great watch just like I had years ago. I haven't been wearing a watch for a long time but get tired of digging my phone out of my pocket or purse, especially when I'm out walking or shopping. I'm setting it up now and then going for a walk. The instructions are in extremely fine print and multiple languages. I scanned the English into my computer and enlarged it, saved as a PDF file and put on my phone in case I need to refer to them when I'm out and about. You may need a magnifying glass if you don't have that capability. I ordered it last evening and it came today already! Great job, Amazon! UPDATE: The alarm works well because it beeps and keeps beeping until you turn it off. However, the hourly chime is not so great. The chime is not as loud as the alarm and only goes "beep-beep" once. So if I'm not paying attention, the watch is under a sweater sleeve, or there's other background noise, I miss it. The whole purpose for me was to have an audible reminder every hour so I would get up and walk around, but I miss it more than I catch it.

I’ve never been a big fan of digital watches but this watch has converted me. I have a size 7.25 in wrist ,which is on the smaller side of average, and I this this watch looks good on me. I do like my watches on the smaller side. I use the watch for the gym and it’s extremely comfortable. The rubber wrist band doesn’t pull my arm hair and doesn’t absorb my sweat. It’s and extremely flexible rubber. The functions on this watch are extremely easy to use. The only negative aspect of the watch is the light. You can still read it easily in the dark but it lights up one half of the watch better than the other half. But for the price I’m really not complaining and I would totally recommend this watch to someone. I’m going to start collecting Casio watches now. 4 stars because it’s nearly perfect.

My father used to have this watch when i was around 4 (i am now 19) and it broke down on him when I was 15 so he had a a long time with it. albeit he did need to change the battery ONCE. Well like father like son I now bought this watch and all I can say is it does its job! ill do some quick pros and cons for you people wondering wether its worth the purchase. Pros: -LOW PRICE. I bought it for 8 dollars. CHEAP! -functional. It does exactly what it advertises no false advertisement here. -Skinny. Its not any where NEAR as bulky as the popular G-Shock watches that many people here in L.A have been wearing I like that. -Adjustable. The strap can be adjusted for all wrist sizes . -Water resistant. You can pretty much go swimming with this thing and not worry about about anything happening to it. so long as you are above the recommended amount. and you don't need to worry about taking it odd when you wash your hands because it won't affect it either. -light button. has a left shoulder button to see the time at night. Cons: -light. Now i know i put this as a pro but at the same time its just a chepa little green glowing light you still see the whole screen but i'm sure that could have been EASILY adjusted. -Raised Resin screen. The screen is raised a little so be careful because you can scratch it. - Alarm. The only reason why I put this as a con is because I can't seem to put my watches' alrm clock to sound off ONLY in the mornings. It can get a little annoying when it rings at 6:30 a.m and p.m Thats pretty much all i have to say for the cons prat of this review they aren't much to worry about they are just MINOR things. if you need a simple watch for walking around or for jogging or what have you this is PERFECT, because its cheap and totally functional. I love watches and own several ranging from $500 to now my cheapest watch, the F91, which was about $15. Wearing this though, offers a certain minimalistic charm that all my others lack. It's light, low profile, and extremely accurate and ridiculously easy to operate. It is a bit smaller than I prefer my watches on my 7" wrist, but at the same time, that's what I like about it. Contradictory I know, but it's hard to explain until you strap it on for the first time. I haven't taken it off since I got it a few days ago, and don't plan to; I forget it's on sometimes. My only complaint if I was to have one, is the backlight, however, I love that it's green. Could it be brighter? Sure. But it gets the job done late at night when I want to check the time in bed. As for water resistance- everything I've read for the Q&As on this watch has Casio replying that this watch is only suitable for light splashes of water?? It's rated for 30M....which is around 100ft... So I'm confused on that. Deepest pool I've ever been in is about 10-12 feet so I feel like this would suffice just fine for every day wear. I wore it in the shower and cupped it in water with the sprayer blasting it for an extended period of time and it's completely fine. Maybe it just can't withstand pressure? I don't know, but for sub 20 bucks, it has already exceeded my wildest expectations. I already want a couple more in different colors so I can play with different strap options. In conclusion, I completely understand why this watch has the following it does. It's as basic as an UGGed wearing girl sipping on a pumpkin latte, and I absolutely love it. CAS1o

This thing tells time, it is slim, it is easy to read, it doesn't have any crazy slogans on it. It is a very simple, functional watch. I normally HATE wearing men's watches because the dials are thick and large, this is nice and small. One criticism that is noted in some of these comments is a short band. I am a tall (190 cm / 75 in) man with somewhat freakishly thick wrists and the band just BARELY fits me (2 notches in), but it does. However, I am quite slim, so if you are a bigger dude who strength trains a bunch, it might not fit you. A question that I had that didn't seem to be answered is the stopwatch. The stopwatch goes to 59 minutes 59.99 seconds. It then DOES wrap around. I had been concerned that it would simply stop at 59:99.99, but it does not. So if you can keep track of hours, this stopwatch should be fine for tracking hour+ times (i use it to time jogs). Also, supposedly this watch is commonly used in bomb making due to a combination of cheapness and reliability, so, I dunno, I guess it has that going for it or against it.

Ich habe vor kurzem von einer Smartwatch zur Casio F91W-1 gewechselt, und ich muss sagen, es war eine erfrischende Entscheidung! Ich wollte weniger Ablenkung und mehr Fokus in meinem Alltag, und diese Uhr hat genau das geliefert. Die Casio F91W-1 hat ein einfaches, aber ansprechendes Design. Sie ist leicht und schmal, was mir sehr gefällt, da ich nicht gerne schwere Dinge am Handgelenk trage. Das Kunststoffgehäuse fühlt sich robust an, und das schwarze Zifferblatt mit der weißen Schrift ist super leicht abzulesen. Ich finde es toll, dass ich mir keine Gedanken über Kratzer machen muss – sie sieht immer noch gut aus, egal was ich mache. Ich war anfangs skeptisch, ob ich mit so wenigen Funktionen zurechtkommen würde, aber ich habe festgestellt, dass ich die Stoppuhr und den Alarm wirklich nutze. Das sind die einzigen Funktionen, die ich brauche! Die digitale Anzeige ist klar, und ich muss nicht durch unzählige Menüs navigieren, um zu sehen, wie spät es ist. Das fühlt sich einfach viel entspannter an. Das Armband ist angenehm zu tragen und passt gut an mein Handgelenk. Ich habe die Uhr jetzt den ganzen Tag über und merke kaum, dass ich sie trage. Bei meiner Smartwatch hatte ich oft das Gefühl, dass sie mir im Weg ist, besonders beim Arbeiten oder beim Sport. Mit der Casio F91W-1 ist das ganz anders – sie stört nicht und bleibt einfach da, ohne mich abzulenken. Der Preis ist ein weiterer Pluspunkt. Ich habe die Uhr für weniger als 30 Euro bekommen, und dafür bekomme ich eine zuverlässige Uhr, die genau das tut, was ich will. Es ist eine willkommene Abwechslung, nicht ständig an das Aufladen denken zu müssen! Fazit: Jederzeit wieder

100% oryginalny. Zapakowany jak ze sklepu, przesyłka trochę szybciej niż zadeklarowano. Zegarek? Wiadomo! Ten zegarek jest prawdopodobnie najlepszym zegarkiem na świecie (mój Apple Watch, garmin i Tag są w szufladzie i się nudzą) każdy powinien go mieć. Kultowy klasyk, styl i ikona.
