Does this watch have a backlight?

Yes, but it is dim and primarily lights up the left side of the watch. It can be difficult to read while lit and must be pressed down to keep lit. Also, the button for the backlight has several other functions, and so you cannot keep the watch lit while performing those other functions.

How is the backlight?

The backlight is fine. In my opinion, this watch is the best watch on the market, except for it's band which breaks too soon.
