It really works! It's made of a special material that stays cooler than the ambient temperature when it's wet, so it's better than just using a regular towel. I ordered this because it's been so hot it was making me angry all the time and I needed a solution. I still wanted to go outside to get my steps and it's also hot all day in the house. This Chilly Pad really helps me feel cooler and more comfortable where I'm not overheating and sweating 24/7. It does get hard and crunchy when it dries, which is why it's shipped slightly damp in sealed plastic. I would sanitize it and store it a little damp in a zip loc probably. It really works and is an inexpensive solution to be able to do things when it's really hot. It stays damp for some hours also.

Bought this towel for our trip to Florida. My fiancé wore it all day while we tackled every Disney World and Universal park. It was right around 90 everyday while we were there and he is not of fan of hot temperatures.All he had to do was wet it and wear it around his neck. The cooling effect allowed him to stay as comfortable as possible. The length of time that the cooling effect lasts is really impressive. He only had to wet it a few times during a 12-13 hour span.The length of the towel is perfect for wearing around your neck and still having enough material to wipe your face when needed. The quality is fantastic as it survived 8 plus days of constant use and my fiancé plans on continuing to use it at work and when mowing etc It is super light weight and gripped to his neck without ever shifting. It does say that the material can cause a rash but my fiancé has not experienced that.We did follow all the directions before use and while using and again it never caused skin irritation or stained any clothing! This cloth was an absolute life saver in the heat and we believe it played a huge roll in keeping body temperature down!

Love this .keeps cool for a long time .ive used it multiple times for my son's football games and for him .its better then the usual cooling towel because of the material others are usually just made of cloth and u constantly have to keep wetting them .this one I keep in a cooler at his games or in the fridge before using .Its worth the price. Will buy again .

This product works well. However, this seller sent me this item WITHOUT including the lid to the container. This makes storage of the product a problem.

This was amazing! I bought this for a summer trip to Italy for my mother to keep her cool. I liked that it was wide and long enough to drape over her shoulders. It kept her cool and comfortable during a heat wave.

This is amazing technology. As long as it is wet, it is cool to the touch. Great for Pickleball.

I love the material this is made of. It's the opposite of a sensory nightmare. I love it... it stays cool for a while but the ends start to dry a little bit fast, in my opinion. Maybe it needed to be wetter to start but I also used it when it was not that hot so it makes me think in worse heat it might perform worse. I have heat intolerance so I really test a lot of tools to help with it. This is pretty good overall and feels worth $12. Also, i haven't tried it but I don't think the container is sufficient to store it. It'll get all dry and stiff if allowed to dry completely so I recommend storing it in a zip lock freezer bag.

If you can't take the heat, these are absolutely great - keep you cool even in the direct sun. Highly recommend!

I remember a friend who was wheelchair-bound recommended these to me. The first ones I bought were like shammy leathers - hard when dry but put them under the tap and they go soft AND HOLD THE WATER IN for maybe a couple of hours. Put round your neck and it is like having a cold towel that does not dry in the heat cooling you down. Tried to buy more recently and they seem not to sell them I think because they were made from something not so good like PVA. Tried the microfibre cooling towels but in comparison these were no good. Then I found this online and yes - back to that shammy-leathery stuff that really works. Can't recommend enough for a hot day.

I love this product although it arrived in PINK not purple. Ironically I wanted pink to match my wrist bands anyway so maybe the Amazon packer read my mind! The product itself is excellent. We get a lot of heat waves in the summer so this works great just to drape around your back and shoulders or chest and shoulders to help cool down. You can also wrap it around you legs, arms etc - anywhere that is feeling particularly hot. This might be beneficial for someone with a heat rash or hives as it soft, cool, wet and feels great on your skin. It comes in a plastic reusable sealed tube - you store it wet so it is ready to use whenever you need it as well as it travels well in a beach bag, backpack etc. After buying this through Amazon, I have since found this same brand/product in outdoor sports stores but was happy to see I saved a couple bucks buying it through Amazon! This would also make a great gift idea for someone athletic or who spends a lot of time in hot climates, work environments etc. It stays cool for hours - as it dries out, I either spritz mine with a water bottle to keep it moist or submerge for a minute in a sink/bowl of water. Washes nicely by hand with mild soap and water.

Giving this one star as it's not possible to give a review without a star. This item stays wet for hours, or at least damp. Thats about it. It is not cooling. Bought it for travel hoping to stay cool in hot weather and was dissapointed to discover that I handed over money for absolute rubbish. The saying, "if it seems too good to be true it usually is" comes to mind. Invest in a portable fan, your money will be better spent.

It works well , I bought it for my husband and he is happy with it
