1 Transparent Water Gels Kit - Fills 1 Gallon for the Floating Effect

I just bought and used these water gels for a party and they were awesome! The gels disappeared as I added water (and the disappearing act is actually pretty cool to watch) and the pearls "floated" beautifully in my clear cylindrical vase. If you don't add water, it looks like the vase is full of glittering crystals which is pretty too. Here are some tips I learned from my experience. 1) You can buy this product in a quantity of 1, 2, 3, or 10. Be aware that the name and description for qty 1 is not correct! The listing strongly implies that you get 2 packets but the seller is Amazon and they are only shipping 1 packet. Amazon gave me a refund but they haven't fixed the listing. The other choices are sold directly by Pearlfection, and those names/descriptions are accurate: Qty = # of Packets. 2) I have 2 vases which each holds 4 cups of water. 1 packet of water gels was more than enough to fill both vases to the top (with a floating candle), although it did not initially appear to be enough. 3) I let the gels absorb water overnight (more than 12 hours) before I used them. The owner of Pearlfection advised not to put in too much water as it would cause the pearls to sink. I didn't think I had enough water gels in the vase but after I added water I had to scoop a bunch out in order to have the water level over the gels but not overflow my vase. After a few hours, I noticed that the gels were poking above the water level so I scooped more out and added a little water. By the next morning (the morning of my party), I had to scoop again. I guess the gels just keep absorbing the water! I ended up with enough excess gels that I set up a third, smaller vase. 4) The best way to arrange the pearls is to put in some water gels, then some pearls, then more water gels, then pearls, etc. Afterwards, I used a plastic chopstick to easily poke the pearls down and push them around. Highly recommend!

Great product! The reason I chose this brand over the others was because of the video showing how to use the gel beads and pearls. They were beautiful at my event.

Worked very well. It's been a month since my event and the beads are still full of water. Having the bag for the beads to bloom in with the water level mark was very convenient and helpful.

These worked better than expected. I was really worried about how well they would actually work. They don't become completely transparent (if you look closely, you can make out faint circles of the spheres) but you have to be looking closely. From even a few feet away, it really does give the appearance of being clear. I am terrible at anything even remotely related to arts and crafts, but I bought the gels and the pearls (navy and white were my wedding colors) and it was very easy to make them look just as pretty as the pictures. No artistic skill required. They last forever, too. It has been 4 months since my wedding. We kept 2 center pieces, and just add a bit of water as it evaporates. Still looks beautiful and holds up. One word of advice, if you spill some all over your floor, be careful picking them up. My fingernails split them very easily, and they became very slippery and hard to pick up, lol.

These worked perfectly!! I’ll definitely be using them in the future. I leaned that one small scoop of beads fills the whole bag with gel balls when they expand. That was enough for all my vases and didn’t need the second bag full. They last for about 7 days, so we can enjoy the decor more than just a day. Love these!
