Organic Raw Cacao Powder from Ecuador 2.0 Lb

I'm surprised to see all the negative reviews concerning this cacao powder. I recently got this one since the one I generally order was no longer in stock. I received exactly what I ordered and I'm very happy with it.This cacao powder is not as bitter as other ones that I've had, but it's still very flavorful and tastes great. I like it better than the old ones that I've been getting and I will continue getting this brand in the future.

For the price you can't beat it. However, it was a little dried out and compacted together. No biggie as I put it into a VitaMix anyway. I think it's the best price out right now cheaper than many conventional and this is ORGANIC!Took off one star b/c it's so dry and lumpy but that's a cosmetic issue only I think.

chocolate smoothies are yummy, cakes and more taste great! it is healthier than other cocoas. love it! try making a smoothie using 2 tablespoons heavy cream, about 6oz. almond milk (unstweetened, plain), 1 tablespoon sugar or truvia, 2 rounded tablespoons cacao, dash of vanilla extract, a pich of cinnamon, and 6 ice cubes... blend til smooth (add 1 scoop of favorite protein powder too). delicious!

Overall the product was and continues to be great, but it arrived with a cut in the bag allowing for a lot of the Cacao powder to spill out into the box. I looked on Amazon's site to figure out how to return it, and after an hour and a half of messing around with it and getting nowhere, I gave up and decided that the effort wasn't worth the fight . Other than that horrible experience, This product would be in the 4 - 5 star range.

I have used this in many recipes; ice cream, brownies, cookies and it takes good. I discovered a nib in my package, so far. I purchased this product based on the price/quantity and the reviews. I am not impressed with the way that the price jumped up 25% since my purchase so I will be looking to try other brands that are more fairly priced. I see another brand offering 5 lbs for $37.

Though the product listing is for "Alive and Aware" cocoa, the 3rd party merchant Halaleveryday sent me "Organic Herbal Essence" cocoa. Alive and Aware is delicious; Organic Herbal Essence is terrible. I believe the positive reviews on this page are for Alive and Aware, and not for what you're likely to get if you order now.

Love this cacao. It's fresh and raw, and I use it for antioxidant purposes for heart-health by adding it to my coffee. I also use it when 'baking' raw, organic brownies (my family members have food allergies) - it makes fantastic healthy brownies!This cacao is well worth the money. The bag is of high reusable and resealable quality, and keeps humidity out. I've bought it frequently enough, I'm going to subscribe.

I love to bake and my family loves chocolate! Who doesn't, right? I also love that his product was in a 2 pound bag, and organic, but also at a good price for being an organic product. It's hard to find organic food in the amount you need it in, but this was a great find for me! Will buy again!
