No Suction
I purchased these to hold our candles securely to a window. Many of our windows have blinds so they won't sit on the sill. We also have a 2 year old that will more than likely pull the cord so I needed something to secure the candle lamp to the window. These suction cups do not hold a suction, especially on a cold window. We live in Atlanta so it doesn't get too cold out but even with our 40 degree temps the suction wouldn't hold.I will say that the suction cup did provide a nice base for some clear tape. I just put 4 strips of tape along the sides of the suction cup and all have stayed! No more worrying that the candles will fall!Next year I will be looking for some better quality suction cups for the candle lamps.

Still holding!
These are great! Wish I'd gotten something like this years ago for the lights I put up each year at Christmas. I bought little battery-powered candles to go with the holders and I'm so pleased with how easy it was to put the lights in the windows this year. Some people said the suction cups didn't hold but I haven't had a problem with any of them, including the ones I'm using in the (unheated) garage and front porch - so far, not a one has let go. One reviewer noted that you've gotta lick it to stick it and they were right - suction cups hold much better if you moisten them first - I just took a damp washcloth with me, swiped each suction cup and them stuck it up. Easy peasy, candles in the windows!

Not Holdng My Candles
I am sorry to say (I feel bad writing a negative review but must be honest) I have not had the same experience with these as everyone else. I have 10 windows w/out sills to place candles in - I think candles in windows are such a pretty look to a home so I was so excited to finally have them. At least 1/2 of them have fallen off within 2 hours of putting them up. The ones that are presently staying up I have now secured with scotch tape because 2 that fell shattered on my hardwood floor. I was trying to avoid the tape as it is such a pain to get off the windows even with goo gone. I will say today I went to a local gardening center & found packages of suction cups by "St. Nick's Choice" (2 for $1.50) and they are so far holding on like glue! I would try a garden center or Lowe's/Home Depot in your area if you can. If these new ones last the weekend, I am replacing all of these for the garden center's.

Good idea, but
They don't always stick to a cold window. It gets petty cold in upstate NY in January. These things seemed to lose their stickyness when windows got very cold. I used 8 of these and 3 'let go' after a couple weeks. (after re-attaching they were ok again, but i might look for higher quality ones if I can find them).

Cheap was to affix candles to window glass, very cheap.
After three or four weeks, some of these will still nicely functional, but others seemed to have had their edges peeled away from the glass. I will try them again next year and see if it was my installation error or a product issue.

I hide the cords by tying pretty bows at the bottom of the candles
I have used these cups to hold my candles in place on my windows, 24 of them.I have never had one to fall. They are a little tight to slip on the candle, butjust use a little pressure and they will slip on. None of mine have broken.Much easier buying here than trying to find them in a store. I have mademore than one purchase of these. Price is fair, service is fast. I hide thecords by tying pretty bows at the bottom of the candles. They look so prettyat any season of the year. Right now I have them in my windows with fallbows on them.

Worked for me. YMMV
It almost seems to me that I got a different product from the suction cups lambasted by other reviewers. I have/had ten candles mounted to my exterior windows with these suction cups for the Christmas season. In the five weeks only ONE failed. A quick lick and that one was back for the rest of the season. One difference might have been that I cleaned the suction area of the glass with alcohol and let it dry before mounting the suction cups. Or my candles might have weighed less. Or an angel watched over them.
