It really does why is says
Absolutely amazing, I had to amend 4 summer button shirts to my right size and this just saved me £20 if I wanted to do it in a professional shop. Clamp steal very sturdy and very solid , follow the steps on the instructions and you will not have any problems. I do like the job well-done so I clamped the rings with both hands, but not necessary, is just me 😁.

Not fit for purpose
Not even worth one star, utter waste of money. The studs often dont even attach to each other through the fabric. If by some miracle you get them to attach when you then press two sides togetger, they pull apart leaving the tooth stud still attached - ruining your project. I bought this as a time saver rather than sewing press studs to fabrics. This stupid little gadget has cost me money and time. Please save your money!

Good bit of kit
Great piece of kit it you're a single bloke who can't sew. Used mine for replacing buttons on a duvet cover. Dead easy to use and strong fasteners unlike some other product I've wasted my money on.

Great for multi-purpose use.
I needed this for a few things. Some of our pillowcases don't have a deep closure and sometimes the pillow comes out. These have been very helpful. The set includes: 1 durable metal snap pliers, 1 test fabric, 200 colour sockets, 200 snaps, 400 prong rings, 1 alignment pin, 4 reusable clear storage boxes. The pliers are suitable for soft and thin fabrics such as baby clothes, shirts, thin fabric bags, light and soft leather, etc. and their size just perfect for our need. No sewing required, the pliers tool passes the snap components directly through the fabric. It works well and is useful. A very good product for the price.

Easy to install but breaks easily
I have used these on thin material as well as thicker and have the same results.... after opening the snap a couple of times, the top piece pulls through the fabric. It is easy to snap but difficult to pull apart. So unless momma wants to help toddler unsnap every time I would go for a different product.
