LED Light Bulb- 7W BrightBulb LED Lightbulbs A19, High Efficiency, Warm White (7W= 40-60W Traditional, Dimmable)

This bulb works without issue and I'm using it in an outdoor lamp post.When buying a LED light bulb I don't pay much attention to the incandescent wattage equivalent information on the package. I balance the wattage, lumens (How Bright), and color information for my needs. For example, a 60w equivalent LED bulbs vary from 400 to 800 lumens, and 7 to 10 watts. This bulb says it's a 40w to 60w equivalent with 490 lumens and 7 watts. 490 lumens is as close to a 60w incandescent bulb you can get. If you are looking for a true 40w incandescent equivalent bulb, look for one that is 350 lumens or less.

Wanted to pick up some cheap LED bulbs for a ceiling fan to replace incandescents. Unfortunately, all 4 bulbs had a noticeable buzz while running, and they dimmed unevenly. The price is right, but at the end of the day, these are cheap Chinese LEDs. I will be looking for equivalent Philips bulbs and am happy to pay the premium.Edit, 1/24/2015: Will bump this up to 3 stars, given that customer service at TheGroupDeal has bent over backwards to make sure that I'm happy with the transaction. So it doesn't hurt to give these a try, as they seem to be quite responsive and back up their orders accordingly.

Update: While my first experience with the bulb didn't go well (see below), I absolutely commend The Group Deal for the length they've gone to in trying to satisfy me. Following the refund of 110%, they agreed to also send me a new bulb at no cost to reevaluate. So far, it's worked perfectly well for several weeks. While I cannot attest to the long term reliability of the bulb, I can recommend without hesitation purchasing their products with the security of knowing that you will be taken care of if an issue does arise. Lit up to full brightness immediately, and did a much better job of illuminating the room than the previous CFL bulb.Unfortunately, that only lasted a few weeks. One day, the bulb flashed brightly when it was turned on, like a conventional light bulb burning out. It worked again briefly after unscrewing it and screwing it back in, but the next day it was dead for good. I contacted the company via Amazon, and they offered a replacement once they had the bulbs in stock, or a refund of 110%. I took the refund. Looks like quite a few reviewers had similar experiences.

These lightbulbs are great! I was looking for some long-life bulbs as replacements in a 2-story high chandelier. Don't want to be changing these too often. (The last bulbs I used lasted 10 years.) They come on at the flick of the switch and have a pleasing, warm glow. These are not used on a dimmer switch, so I can't testify to that operation. I liked them so much I ordered more to put in my reading lamps. I'll check back in 10 years and let folks know how well they lasted.

You can read my prior negative review of this product below. The vendor did respond and very graciously gave me a refund and sent me a replacement bulb. So far, it's working great and has a fairly natural color: somewhere between a typical incandescent warm white and a full-spectrum halogen light. Their customer service is excellent and, I suspect, they can be this way because it's a solid product. Here's my old review: "As an electrician, I cannot recommend this product, even though I am very excited about a lot of LED bulbs and fixtures now on the market. My bulb lasted about one month. I'm hoping to hear from the seller or manufacturer about a replacement (as one reviewer did) and if I do get a replacement that works I'd be glad to give this a higher rating." Now, I'm giving it 4 stars.

These bulbs would work well in certain situations but not to be mixed with other 60 watt equivalent bulbs or anywhere you need at least some up light when the bulb is mounted base down. My sconces gave decent illumination on a counter but the upper part of my head was in shadow.

I am transitioning from fluerescent to LED bulbs and these are used for where less light or reading is the goal. They appear to be built strongly and to last and I have already been asked to purchase this bulb by a family member,

Very Bright bulb which is perfect over my kitchen sink area. It replace a duller bulb (old) and the difference is amazing. If you want a bulb for softer light this is not the one for you.
