I would recommend this canned fruit to anyone looking for sugar free canned lychee when the US lychee trees are out of season. I didn't notice any metallic tastes, nor any artificial sweetener off taste. I used the fruit as a puree that I made into home made gelatine using agar. I do not necessarily add extra sweetener because lychee fruit are sweet, and the puree at room temperature has that chacteristic beloved scent. I add a drop of vanilla and a splash of rosewater to bring out the fragrance. I also mix the puree with some plain unsweetened Greek youghurt with no added sugar and it is a tasty way to start your day. If you like making home made gelatine or sorbet, I recommend adding some Tea Pigs brand lychee and rose infused herbal tea to your recipe. Personally, I wait all year for some fresh lychee fruit, but this canned lychee will suffice when mixed into various recipes.

If you are a fan of lychee's, go for it... sure, free? Nice light flavor and actually, I just have them as a wonderful light desert or snack in the evening. I have tried different varieties.And these are definitely at the top.

I was pleasantly surprised by the gentle flavor of this fruit, for years I had seen lychee as on tv and curiosity got the best of me.. I like it , not aggressively sweet but still tasty will order again..

I was pleasantly surprised by the Lychees. The lychees taste incredibly fresh and natural, and I love that there's no added sugar. It’s the perfect snack for when you're craving something sweet but don’t want the extra calories. The only thing is that the texture of the fruit can be a bit soft compared to fresh lychee, but that's to be expected with canned fruit. The packaging is convenient, and 12 cans is the perfect amount to stock up for a while. If you're a fan of lychee and looking for something that's not loaded with sugar, this is a great option!

Never tried Lychee and a stark taste. Like a pear but not as chewable.

I absolutely love lychee fruit. But I can count on one hand the number of times I've actually been able to eat them fresh. If you're in the US and not in one of the few areas they grow here, it's rare to see fresh lychee at a store. The alternative I've settled for in the past is canned lychee in syrup. But I don't want to be consuming that much sugar, especially on a regular basis. I'm not a fan of the syrup, I'd usually just wash it off. So I've bought those only on rare occasion. I had a strong taste of lychee lately though and set out to see what I could find. With great luck, I stumbled upon this product. It's simple and delicious. Exactly what it says it is. Peeled lychee fruit in cans without extra added sugar or syrup. They are delicious and I don't have to worry about them going bad quickly, like I would had I tried to get the fruit shipped to me fresh. Of course, they don't taste as good as fresh lychee, but for what it is, it's the best alternative I've found. Great value. I'll be ordering some again soon.
