The Hiseeu range of products works together very smoothly. You will need the EseeCloud APP for your phone to get the most out of it, although you can dock it to a Hiseeu NVR along a get a lot of functionality. The APP is easy to configure but you do need to accept the all-very-common terms of service that allow a remote server to support the camera and the APP. The camera can be landed to the APP in less than three minutes. Using the included 12 volt power supply with a 2.1x5.5 plug, you power it up and plug in an ethernet cable. You then scan a QR code on the body of the camera and it will autoconfigure the settings, only asking you to select a wi-fi network and enter its password. Once landed, you can use the APP to log in to the camera and set up sensitivity, local time, alert actions, set up SD storage (using your own micro SD card) or buy their cloud storage (entirely optional). If you are more technical, you can do the setup with more manual actions if you prefer to be very hands-on. The camera is weather resistant but not waterproof and while it is self-contained, it is not vandal resistant. The base can be easily separated and mounted to a wall or ceiling with the included hardware. Once on Wifi, the ethernet cable is no longer needed, but the 12 Vdc power supply cable is still needed. The antenna fo wifi rotates to accomodate the orientation of the mounting position. You need to remove the dome to insert the micro SD card. The picture quality is good and if you have a strong wifi signal, you can bump the standard resolution up to high resolution and still observe fluid movement with about 1-2 seconds of latency. The audio is good in the local vincinity as in a camera at the front door to hear a delivery person. The night vision is black and white with IR illumination that works well in the stated near range. You can use the APP to add extra features like boxing human figures in the recordings and adjusting the motion sensitivity as well as deciding if you want push notifications to your phone. This system worked flawlessly for me in the first pass at the setup and the written instructions are pleasantly well written and useful. The nice feature with the dome is that unless you are right up close on the camera, you cannot easily tell what is in the observation field as the direction of the lens is obscured by the dome and its dark interior.

This 5MP PTZ Wireless Security Camera is something I have been looking for to round out my camera setup. I don’t know if they just forgot to include the accessories in my box, but my camera didn’t include a power supply or other accessories. The camera didn’t want to power up when I first tried to power it up. I am not sure what was going on there, but it eventually powered up and let me configure it. There are two features about this camera that I really appreciate. First, the camera comes with a mounting plate to simplify installation. Secondly, the micro-SD card slot is inside the dome. That helps to protect the card and internals of the camera from the weather. One thing that I did notice is that the camera generates a bit of heat when power up. That makes me wonder about longevity in a hot outside environment. Only time will tell on that count. The camera has a heavy-duty housing and dome. The camera, supporting frame, and gears are all plastic. With everything considered, I would give this 4 stars.

This is the second Hiseeu camera I’ve purchased from them. I live in Chicago, and while our new driveway was being built, I placed the first camera in the workshop area of the driveway. It performed flawlessly without any issues for three months. Now that I’ve rebuilt the garage attached to the house, I added a second camera to monitor people coming and going outside. Since the first Hiseeu camera worked so well and continues to do so, it was an easy choice for the second. By the way, both cameras work seamlessly with EseeCloud. The wireless camera has been a great addition to the wireless Hiseeu NVR kit I purchased. It set up quickly and easily using the Apple app. The price was excellent for a WiFi camera, and the picture quality is high-definition. I only needed to drill a few holes in the exterior of my house to power it. Also, there’s no need for a monthly subscription if you use a Micro SD card—you can save videos to view later directly from the app or the NVR.
