Excelsior!: The Amazing Life of Stan Lee

This is a great book, written (mostly) by one of the great creative minds of our time, and a great character in his own right. The co-author keeps his content to a minimum, only filling in where absolutely necessary. When you read this book, you will hear every word in your mind in Stan Lee's voice (Especially if you are a longtime fan and former FOOM member, and double if you are a MMMS card-holder). Great man,great book.

I purchased this book for my father who is a huge Marvel fan. He loves it. I was happy to find it in paperback. The hardcover version of this book is selling at very high prices. Great book for anyone that is interested in the history of how Marvel was born. Stan Lee should be considered as an icon of American history.

If you are interested in the Marvel universe or comic publication in general, this is a must read. Entertaining, easy to read, full of amusing comments by Stan Lee and insight into the evolution of the superhero comic world. I remember my grandmother paying me to get rid of all my comics and promise not to read anymore some 55 years ago (that only lasted about a year) and was interested to see that coincided with a public campaign against comics which fortunately was not successful. This is the text version, not the new graphic formatted and more recently updated version recently released.

This was a good autobiography biography about the man, Stan lee.a hero from my childhood.nuff said.

Good for kids who love their comics. My son was 14 when I bought it and he is in love with Stan Lee. Not too many pages but for th price it I worth it I think. Good quality too actually. It does not look cheap.

This was a really easy-to-love read which mixed Lee's plain language speaking style with a high-points, chronological trot though the man's life. While is seems to skim over the juicy stuff at times, this is a matter of fact look at the life of an influential & iconic figure in Americana.

I really enjoyed reading about Stan’s early life and how he worked writing for the cartoon superhero’s.

The product was a gift for my son, who is a big Stan Lee fan. The quality and resolution of the printing was that bad I thought it might be a pirate copy. There was a cut on the cover of the book which looked like it had been made by someone unpacking with a box cutter. Received this rubbish and didn't have time to do anything about it before his birthday. Not sure I want to buy through Amazon again.

I purchased this book for a Christmas present,i could not afford a new one so was worried about it being used but the condition is fantastic,it is a present for someone who has collected comics and i am sure he will love it. Thank You.

This book was purchased for my son's school speech on Stan Lee. Very informative and I was interested in reading it as well.
