Good value and great customer service
The quality seems good and it’s a great price for what you get. The lame and dough scraper work well. The ebook that comes with is a good starting point for people who have not made sourdough before, although it is more of an overview of the process as opposed to really in-depth techniques. It has recipes that look good, though I haven’t had a chance to try any of them yet since I usually just make mine up as I go.I bought this set because I needed a lame and also wanted a smaller proofing basket than the ones I already had. The first basket I received had a really strange smell to it, probably due to some manufacturing issue. I contacted the seller about it and he sent a replacement set within a couple days. The second proofing basket had no issues so I’m sure the the first one was some fluke. Very fast responses from the seller too, even though I contacted him over a weekend.

I am glad I bought this!
Great purchase! I wasn't sure if I wanted to, or keep using what I have been. Since I've been getting sucked into the world of sourdough, wet dough is hard to work with without the right tools. Sure I could have kept using my tea towels, a bowl, a somewhat sharp knife, and no bread scrapper, but I wanted to set myself up for success this time. I quit trying to bake bread/sourdough twice because I felt discouraged. I did my research, watched videos, found out about Banneton's, Lamé's, how to work with wet dough, and I took a spring and decided to try out an all in one purchase. And I am quite happy with my results. I use a mixture of all purpose and rice flour to prevent it from sticking. If you're wondering if you should or not, sourdough, like actual sourdough, is one of the tastiest things ever, and making your own is so worth it. These tools helped me immensely. I love them!

Yip! Jump!
Ok. I'm new at this whole bread baking thing. Even still, my loaves look so professional! I attribute that to letting my dough rise in a basket rather than in a bowl (usually glass) or on the counter. I think the yeasty beasties appreciate the oxygen and insulation, too. I haven't needed to clean the banneton yet, but since I probably over-flour it anyway, the flour keeps the dough from sticking to the cloth or letting too much moisture through to the cane. As far as durability, my dog has pulled it off the counter and into the living room a couple of times and it has been fine (with me rushing after her to prevent her chewing on it). I'm pretty gosh darn happy to be able to make loaves for my family and friends. The next step is ordering more baskets so I can make bigger batches of bread!

Basket is nice, lame is.... well, lame
The basket itself seems to be decent quality. I have used it twice and it did the job. Same with the dough scraper - durable plastic and does the job. The lame, however, is extremely dull and I think I could have gotten better results with a butter knife... very disappointed as the accessories were a big reason as to why I purchased this product over other options.

Loved my basket
I always thought the basket was overkill until I used mine. It worked great for my first time baking sourdough. The handy blade for scoring the crust works great. I made a lovely checkerboard. For all the effort I put into a starter and proofing the heck out of my sourdough, it's nice to have the finishing touches you can achieve with Banneton Basket set. Now if I only can make my bread taste as good as it looks . . .

Exactly what I needed
This banneton gave my loaf the proper support, left lovely flour rings (since I elected not to use the included liner), and the dough released easily.I also used the bowl scraper. It's firm enough to give excellent support to a large batch of dough, and shaped well for the bowl I was mixing in.The lame was sharp enough to make good, deep slashes. And the price was great!I'm really happy with this purchase!

Very pleased
Have baked two loaves so far, and this banneton provides an excellent environment for proofing and the final shaping for sourdough and rye breads. The lame is the tool I didn't think I needed. I'd been scoring my loaves with a serrated steak knife, but the lame cuts through the dough beautifully, with no drag like you get with a knife, so its inclusion in this kit counts as a bonus for me! Highly recommend.

Good value for money!
As a new baker of rustic bread, I think this kit is an excellent value. Everything is useful, sized right and good quality. I don’t need walnut handled lame or other fancy and expensive tools, just tools that are perfect for the job. This is really good value for money, and delivered quickly. Not used enough to know about durability yet, but I believe these sorts of tools should last forever if treated right.
