Solid brass. Holding up well. Some of the hammers on here folks were complaining about metal flakes coming off. This brand doesnt do that, and works just as well as my old lost MAC hammer. Perfect weight too. Use brass hammer when you dont want to mar the surface, or create a spark.

Worked to use a soft face hammer to drive out some steel pins without mushrooming the ends. The handle in my hammer is not aligned with the face (the oval cross section of the handle is about 30 degrees off), but it's still a hammer and hits things.

Purchased for maintenance in a foundry. Handle is well shaped, and a little on the slender side. I prefer this for control of the hammer strike, especially with gloves on.

Looks and feels ok, but the head is loose after one light use if tool.says made in mexico on it. Cost was too high for the quality.

Good price for a tool like this.

The description for the hammer is 30 Oz. Head weight. I weighed the hammer with a calibrated scale, 25.6 Oz total, that's including the handle! This is false advertising and should be addressed.

its a hammer that works as intended

Had to dip it in antifreeze for a week to tighten it up, but other than that, it's a good brass hammer
