I have purchased eight of these in total. After a year six still work.This are handy and I have them in the back garden lighting up at steps to the back entrance and at various points. Obviously because they are solar powered there's no need for cables or to change batteries.However, once the integrated charge battery has died the unit is no longer any good. Disappointing to lose two units within a year.Of the six left 5 are still bright, one is less powerful and probably on its way out.I don't want to sound too negaty, I actually like the items and they are handy. Follow the instructions and leave I'm the sun to charge before you activate them with the little pin.I got some of these on a lightening deal so was a good price.I would recommend

The outer plastic casing seems very sturdy and robust, the way it's been designed and created should hopefully mean that no water seeps in as everything has been covered in the ABS plastic case. The on/off switch can only be accessed by using a pin to poke through the tiny hole on the front which is great as I don't need to worry that someone has turned them off. The brightness of the LED's are excellent and the range is brilliant too, note that there is only 1 setting for this model which is that it turns on for a few seconds when activated and then goes off when no motion is detected.The lights need to be attached to the wall directly, i.e. the screws go through the top corner holes and into the wall rather than hanging the lights on the screws as you would do with clocks and pictures. This is great if you are worried that someone might try and take them off and walk away with them.My only negative points are that the wall plugs provided are not very good other than that these are pretty good.

Update; after just over a year of use one of the lights has stopped working, wont switch on and wont hold charge, which is disappointing. The lights replaced a 150 watt mains security light and they are just marginally less bright than that light. The light is very adequate, not dazzlingly bright but 2 of them are enough to light up a mid sized garden to see very clearly. The PIR sensors work very well with no false alarms and a good long range and wide spread. I've never had them run out of battery life and they charge up well even on a dull day. After a few months of use they are still completely weatherproof. They are a little smaller than I expected (palm sized) but give out a tremendous amount of light for the size. I would strongly recommend.

We are renting a farmhouse and the house sides are not lit.We have to park our cars at the side of the house so it’s not great on dark mornings and I don’t want to be drilling holes / wiring etc.In addition we have outhouses with wood storage and so on which need lighting up to get to at night.Took a punt on these as you can never be sure with the overrated Lumens / battery life etc (general rule, half the figures quoted and you’re about there).These arrived via Prime so delivery to the middle of nowhere was top notch.I timed myself installing these from getting the drill out to tidying away. 24 minutes to fit them on the walls.They are excellent. Wide angle for the PIR, bright broad beam lights and solar too. As long as they are good with the elements, they’re a bargain.I’ve put them on subscription to save a few quid as I’m going to need half a dozen at least.

After 2 and half years, it’s still in good condition, even though faced to heavy raining, snowing, etc.Some smilier products have been broken in 1 year.So highly recommend you buy this product.I put one at the front and one at the back garden.It will be on when someone gone thought.

I have six of these solar powered lights and must say they are excellent providing very bright light when needed.The reason I only gave 4 stars on this review is that one of the lights has stopped working after only 3 days.However the four I bought about a year ago are still working perfectly.I will be buying more as they offer free lighting, after initial purchase price, ideal for drives, gardens, patios etc.

They have inbuilt redundancy. You can’t replace the batteries. If you could replace the batteries they would be fine, except Baxia have made the batteries inbuilt. Great money spinner for them, not good for the consumer. I’ve e-mailed them three times asking why. I have not had a reply.

Pros = bright and good price at £15.99 for 2.Easy to fit, only 2 screws at the top, but would’ve been nice to secure the bottom part with another 2 screws.Cons = motion sensor range is a bit short, need to walk within 2 metres in front of it to set it off. (Would be fine for a small garden/walkway.)The light is the one on the left of picture. Will be writing reviews for the other lights I have just bought together.
