Awesome little machine for the price. Works fantastic!
This thing has been great so far. I got 2 of them. The gem10 and the gem12. The 12 I had to return due to an issue, the 10 I'm using currently. I like these mini pc's because they use very little electricity. It's like using a laptop except I can use my normal keyboard, mouse, monitor, and the footprint is way smaller. I don't really do much gaming, but it is possible. I play some really resource light games and of course it has no issue. I tried Fortnite just to see how that would go. It did well with low settings (expected) but wow the heat it throws off! I guess that's good though. The built in cooling system is doing it's job. I have a much higher end desktop for that kind of stuff though so that was just a test. These do have the oculink port so if you're wanting to game, I'd recommend getting an egpu for those purposes. I got this because I don't do a lot of gaming and when I want to do simple things like some web browsing, music, streaming, shopping on amazon, it's just more convenient, energy efficient, and quieter compared to my desktop. I did add a second m.2 drive and that's working well. To open it there's 4 screws underneath. One is hidden under a foam foot pad, the other 3 are out in the open. Kind of weird, but whatever. Everything is very fast from startup to shutdown. The cpu has plenty of power, the memory is super fast as stated in the description. There's an option in the bios to allocate extra memory to the igpu. I did that because I'd rather have it there if I need it since 32gb is plenty of ram for my everyday tasks. That took the available down to 27.8gb - still plenty. The only thing I don't like is the RAM is onboard. That's what really sold me on the gem12 (I may reorder another gem12 once I get my return credit). It has standard laptop memory. Yeah this is a little bit faster, but it can never be upgraded or replaced and that's a huge bummer to me. I guess that's just where things are going though unfortunately. Overall though, excellent little computer for the price!

Excellent unit.
It was time to kick aside the Dell tower and upgrade to the present. I had got one of these mini computers for my wife and she liked it so I shopped for the Ryzen processor (the best out there) with 1TB of space and this one came up. All I can say is WoW! This is an excellent build, has Lots of ports, is screaming fast, and exceeds my expectations. (I bought my first computer in 1985 and have owned, configured and built several) Right out of the box it did what I needed without error, and it did do it quickly. Now what amazes me is this unit running Win11 loaded up old software, activated licenses, and opened like new. I loaded MS Office 13, PSCS4, Lightroom 4, Topaz Studio, Portraiture Plugin, Adobe Acrobat, Breezebrowser, Lightburn. All of these are pre-2013. Some I even had to put in the previous versions license key, but they all loaded, activated and opened. Amazing. I really like the footprint now that my tower is gone. Done are the 500GB and 1TB hard drives. Just wish the audio port was on the back. After just a few days of use I can definitely say this was a GREAT decision to buy this computer.

Definitely worth the price.
This computer is the perfect travel computer. And it has a lot more power than most large computers. I added an external card to boost the graphics and this thing easily plays virtual reality games. I have spent the past week running this thing through the ringers, and it holds up. With the addition of the external graphics card, my vr set up is working flawlessly on this thing. Excellent quality for the price. I highly recommend it. 1 TB hd, reasonable processing power plug and play ability to add an external graphics card. It's an excellent choice for a portable computer. Especially if you need a computer that's a little more powerful than your average laptop. the screen can be a little difficult to see sometimes because of the size but that can easily be remedied using an external monitor and if you don't have an external monitor available, you can still use the computer. As far as quality compared to price, this thing blows the majority of high end computers out of the water.

Unbeatable value and portability. Exceptionally made, powerful and expandable. Good thermals.
For its size its a well made, powerful PC and good value when comparing specs. Comes with Windows 11 Pro installed, no added bloatware. The solid aluminum body is an excellent heat sing that does not get hot when rendering intensive tasks. The screen is high resolution, but serves for monitoring a process or configuration testing but it very small so I generally use a portable display via the USB. The internal GPU is fine for business tasks and light 3d rendering, however when pared with the AOOSTAR AG01 External GPU Docking Station and Nvidia RTX 2060 - 4070 card, it becomes a very powerful graphics workstation or gaming system. There is a free NVME M.2 slop for a second drive. GPU freaks, YOU COULD use that spare M.2 for a second Occulink port with a M.2 / Oculink adapter and make this a crypto mining beast. >> Hey AOOSTAR << It would be neat to add a mini 19vdc 150watt UPS underneath the unit. Most existing options are insufficient as it does draw more amps than most 19v battery packs can delivers such as the Volessence 100watt unit.

Excellent Mini PC For Light Gaming
I picked up the AOOSTAR MACO Ryzen 7 H255 barebone Mini PC a few weeks ago and turned it into my dedicated light gaming rig. After adding 32GB DDR5 5600 RAM and a NVMe SSD, it's been an absolute joy to use. Go in BIOS (F7) set the GPU to have 8GB Ram If you will be gaming> Make Sure RAM is Running Full Speed What I like: - Super compact aluminum build โ fits perfectly on my desk without hogging space. - Runs cool and quiet under gaming loads / I changed Thermal Paste To Noctua NT-H1 (no loud fans screaming like some mini PCs). - Tons of connectivity: dual USB4 ports, OCuLink for future eGPU upgrades if I ever want more power, support for four displays 2.5G Ethernet, and WiFi 6. - Easy to build โ barebones design made adding RAM and storage is easy, and the internals are well laid out. * It is quite involved to take apart the heat-sink but can be done. For the price this thing punches way above its weight. If you're looking for a small, versatile Mini PC that can handle light gaming, productivity, media streaming, and even some content creation without needing a huge tower, this AOOSTAR MACO is a fantastic choice. Super satisfied โ definitely worth it!

This AOOSTAR MACO Mini PC delivers
This AOOSTAR MACO Mini PC delivers impressive performance with its AMD Ryzen 7 processor, handling multitasking and demanding applications smoothly. The 24GB DDR5 RAM and 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD provide fast load times and plenty of storage for both work and entertainment. I especially like the Radeon 780M graphics, which can handle light gaming and creative tasks without any issues. The support for four displays and multiple connectivity options like USB4 and dual 2.5G LAN make it extremely versatile. Overall, itโs a powerful and compact machine that offers great value for its price.

Great PC with few minor annoyances (could be my unit)
This is a powerful little Mini PC with its key advantages being the Ryzen processor and 32 GB LPDDR5 6400 MHz RAM. It can run most of the games at 1080p ultra or 1440p medium settings. I am getting a Cinebench Singlecore score of 1765 and multicore score of 14117 with this mini PC. If this is not good enough, the PC comes with an Oculink port that allows you to connect an external GPU. I would have rated this 5 stars, if not for the fan noise and not so great tech support. Pros Fast boot, high performance. Three M.2 NVME slots provides enough storage space to use this as a mini NAS solution. Four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports provides ample expansion Oculink to support external GPUs Gaming - I can run Call of Duty MWIII at 1080p Ultra Settings and this mini pc handles it without breaking a sweat. This has a great design with metal casing and lots of vents to keep it cool during operation. Cons Bluetooth connectivity seems to be bad - I have to keep my bluetooth keyboard very close (almost touching) to the PC for it to remain connected. There is a fan on the case that is always running and results in a constant hissing sound. Tech support is lacking - the mini PC comes with a card that asks customers to contact AOOSTAR through an email and not to return the product to Amazon. I reached out to them about the constant fan noise and I was told to adjust some bios settings, which was ok since I come from a tech background. But once I made the change and that didn't help with the issue, there was a total stop of communication from AOOSTAR. I don't understand the point of asking customers to contact them over email if they are not planning to provide any response. One of the screws that you need to remove to access the additional M.2 slots is under one of the case feet and that needs to be peeled off. I don't know how long it will remain sticking if we end up removing and re-attaching it few times. Minor Nit: The M.2 SSD on the PC I received already had 40+ power on hours and total reads of 404 GB and writes of 267 GB. Not sure if this was a device that was previously returned because just the OS installation itself cannot get to those numbers.

Great tiny machine!
GEM10 Mini PC, AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS, 32GB, 1T SSD. I purchased this to replace a couple tower PCs that I used all the time, but were getting a little long in the tooth. They weren't compatible with Windows 11 and that was starting to cause issues with software updates. This PC has worked without any issues so far. I saw someone post that the fans are loud. I had to put my ear right up to the PC to know if the fan was even running. I don't game though, so maybe that person was really taxing the CPU. It's crazy that this tiny PC can replace those two monster PCs. Fingers crossed on longevity. It appears to be a really well-made PC. I would have liked it to have Wi-Fi 6+ or 7, but I haven't seen Wi-Fi 7 available in any PCs at this price and I will probably only use it with wired LAN. Another USB 4 port would have been nice, but not sure I would actually have a use for a second USB 4 port. Four USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) ports is nice. The option to add two more SSDs is great. The OCulink Port is nice, but not sure if I'll ever use it. PCIE 4.0 and DDR5 were must haves on my list. I like the focus on cooling which is different from most other mini PCs. Starting with a good amount of RAM and large SSD saves me from having to do upgrades in the future.
