This type of punch clock, known as "side printer", has a window that indicates the area where the paper is printed when it is in an empty slot. When the mechanism is automatically triggered, the guides are marked where the ink can be displayed by inserting the paper completely toward the back of the machine. It requires minimal effort to ensure that your stamp is displayed in the desired area on the paper.
