I needed a cool gift idea for a small group of my friends, who are known far and wide as the Mild Bunch. (Okay, that's only because we live far apart from each other but it sounds impressive.) I got this box with that gift idea in mind. Though I was looking for more of a Cigar Box shape, this was the only one I could find that locked. It comes with a cool rolling tray and has a few compartments for various odds and ends. It mostly fit the bill, so I bought a couple of them and after several attempts at my Craft Project, they turned out well. It's a good, sturdy box and happily absorbed all of the punishment I inflicted as I tried to transfer an image to it's surface. FYI - if you want to try it, sand it multiple times and then sand it again before even attempting to transfer an image. The finish goes deeper than you think and if you try before it's all gone, the image just smears. It's not pretty. Trust me. Once I got the image transferred, I wanted to distress the boxes a bit, so I added some burns and stains, then refinished them with a few coats of natural oak, satin varnish. They turned out great and I wouldn't hesitate to buy more or recommend them for all of your stashing needs.

The wood has a smooth finish, it's a nice size- big enough to fit all of my things without being too big or bulky, and the color is accurate to the picture. I like having the lock for peace of mind, but it's not strong by any means, so keep that in mind if security is a deal breaker. Overall good quality, and the customer service was very pleasant too, which is always a plus.

Purchased two of these as gifts. They are great for storing and keeping all medical w@@@ together and safe. Loved the idea that there was a locking function. Downfall, needs a different method of locking as an alternative. The keys were interchangeable between the two boxes, and needed more individualized locking mechanism.

For 25 dollars, this box is on cue. It's built very strong and everything works as it was designed todo. There's no cracks or flaws. Everything is in alignment and opens and closes as designed. Thekey lock actually works and is roomy as to my use. I mean, for 25 dollars what can you expect thesedays when most everything is made of press wood, plastic glue and paper. It's good enough that Iwould buy it again, if needed. Handy little sturdy box made for many uses. By the way, IT IS solidwood and looks as the picture on the sellers page...

The fit and finish were beyond expectations. I felt-lined it and made a custom men's jewelry box for tie clasps, cuff links, and the like. A very nice addition to our bedroom dresser, right next to my wife's antique jewelry cabinet.

I definitely should've read the details of the product when it came to the measurements but it was a very good purchase especially if you only using it. I definitely will be needing something bigger later but its a nice gift. I like it because its plan so it allows me to customize it if I see fit

The box we recite has a crack in it.... we will be sealing it since returning for a new one will take far too long.

This was a great buy for the price compared to other locking boxes I looked @.I was able to fit all of my items in the box with sum space to spare.The only thing that would make this better is the depth of the box.I had to put my stash jar side ways to fit when closed.But an awesome stash box of plain sanded wood, that can be customized however you want Inside or out.Also has a sturdy wood roller included.Great gift idea.
