We regularly use thick straws for bubble tea around here. We went from plastic a couple years back to different compostable one, so far the only one we hate is the paper as most of them are cannot hold up for a big bubble tea, tapioca and all. This one is quite good quality, but I would worry about injuries. Let me explain. One of the straws came damaged in the package and it was weirdly shattered. I know it's not easy to get there, but imI don't know maybe one is damaged somewhat when you start using it maybe and a kid plays with it... It ticks a lot of boxes, environmentally friendly, thick, looking great, individually wrapped, and the peice point is pretty decent too. But I'm not sure about the use of bamboo

I am reviewing Straws Reusable | Bamboo Straws – Individually Paper Wrapped, Multi-Size 6/7/8/9/11mm, SGS Certified, Eco Friendly Drinking Straw, Organic Plastic-Free & Biodegradable (50, 8mm) I ordered 8mm but I didn't realise that this included the bamboo layer, I thought the 8mm referred to the hollow inside. My mistake. THese are each wrapped in paper for hygiene and they are smooth, strong and lovely quality. A pack of 50 is good value. Great for parties, and summer drinks.
