The Aquanic Aluminum Alloy Thumbscrew is a distinct improvement over the usual "gopro" thumbscrews for the multi-fingered action mounts. It is about the same size (length) as a usual thumbscrew but it has two holes drilled in it that allow easy tightening, This means the camera is less likely to shift during rambunctious use. The usual thumbscrew can does have specialized wrenches available, but then you run the use of losing the wrench and they really are not that easy to use (keep slipping off because of the shape of the usual thumbscrew). The Aquantic design is constructed of sturdy metal with proper knurling, so you can get a grip for tightening, even if your fingers are wet. It comes with little rubber rings to keep the connection tight but soften any rubbing from the metal against the plastic fingers. The color is black, so it disappears from view, and the pricing is pretty reasonable given the high quality materials - a good value if you are filming active activities.

These thumbscrews are better than many plastic and other screws I have used in the past. I am using these on 2 different GoPro cameras. These hold very well and I have tested them on float handle in the water as well as a vehicle mount. For the later case, I like the hole in the screws, they allow for me to use my tether from the camera case to ensure that the screw, camera and mount stay attached to the car. The screws include o-rings which help to hold the screws in place once you tighten them. I am very happy with these screws and would recommend these as a nice upgrade.

This 2-Pack of Aluminum Alloy ThumbscrewCompatible with GoPro Hero 8-13 from Aquanic work great. There's not a lot to say here, they are a solid replacement for the stock thumb screws on your Gopro. I do prefer these over the stock ones because they are a bit smaller at the thumb part so they have more clearance to the Gopro body. If you are using one of the battery doors that has USB access, those doors can have a bit more bulk to them and cause clearance issues with the factory thumb screws, these help solve that problem. Overall I'm very happy with these thumb screws', they work great!

Solid all metal screw for prong style (GoPro) type mounting systems. These are an improvement over plastic thumb screw type in that they will hold up in more abusive use cases like underwater mounts. There are three different methods by which to tighten (or loosen) these, first is the knurled metal knob, then there is an open slot in the knurled knob to use a metal object to tighten and then you have an allen receptacle recessed in the depth of the knob. Take care to not tighten too much if pairing with plastic mounts as too much torque might break them. Love these for my underwater rig.
