I was interested in buying this product specifically because I thought it would reduce my cost of razors. I purchased this specific product out of all the other varieties on Amazon specifically because It seemed to be priced fairly. I have a few positives to say. First off the packaging is very nice, the products are on the cheap side, the comb looks nice, the beard oil and balm smell ok. For the bad now, the razor does not cut and also feels lackluster and the leather belt you use for sharpening the blade is more for looks than utility. I do have to give it a good review only because it has everything it says it does, and it is priced fairly. If you want something that is high end or works beautifully then you probably won't find it in this price range. That is to say, if you are like me and want to save a buck or two on shaving from the modern multiblade razors then there probably won't be a solution online but maybe you will have better luck looking in barber shops, antique shops, or shops for men.

That said, it still represents what I consider a fair value, but it just as easily could have been 5 stars across the board if the set received was a closer to the description and review. First, and the most minor (by far) is the box. The reviewers made a fuss about the nice magnetic closure on the box. Granted, if it did have this feature, I likely would have kept the box on my counter for easy access, but since it was a regular cardboard box it will most likely relegated to the recycle bin, which is probably where it would have gone eventually anyway, but I do like to keep new products at the ready, at least during the "honeymoon phase." I bigger issue is the elimination of what looks to be a fairly critical item in the success or failure of razor sharpening. The photos show what appears to be a whetstone, but nothing that looked like it was included, not was a replacement item take its place as your description states. As you can see, however, the 3/4 star range is still a decent score. I will have to use the product(s) fir a little while before I can offer a more thorough review and/or recommend this to other beardsmen. For now, I would say the actual beard product (oil and balm are where the value lies, the comb and brush. I may give the razor a shot with a proper whetstone and I have read some mixed review on the strop, though to be fair, the blade on the one that came in my kit has a pretty sharp edge.

I received it on time and in a great black box that has a little cool magnets. Opened it and used everything right away. It's literally been like 2 weeks and there's a 90% improvement on the look of my beard. It’s cleaner, softer and just overall looks better.The oil doesn’t have any scent so it is neutral. My experiences buying beard oils on amazon were very bad, they were always leaking, so I was I little scared when I got this one. However, it was not leaking at all!The balm, OMG “The Balm”, it has a cucumber scent that I love so much, I use it everyday.The brush is a medium-hard brush, I normally use it after putting some beard balm.The most impressive thing in the kit is the STRAIGHT RAZOR with a leather strop, I love the idea that they are old fashion-style. I have never try one before, but the eBook they provide explains everything step by step with pictures of styles of how to properly shave!The barber’s scissors are of high quality and they are also adjustable. I am a barber and know the difference between good-quality scissors, and this one is pretty good.The comb, is a very decent comb, it does the work properly.Shaping tool is decent as well, but I don’t need it since I’m a professional barber.I’m actually very impressed with the price of the kit itself, you can’t beat the price for the high-quality products they are offering.

I sat there and stropped the razor at least 50 times and still could not get it to cut at all. Had to pull out my old straight razor with my last dull replaceable blade to even shave. The blade felt great and never had any issues like some others did with it falling apart on them I just can not shave with it. Disappointing since that was the main reason I bought the kit.After trying the rest of the kit I am moving it down to 1 star. The oil, balm, comb, and brush are not bad just that to me they where not the reason I bought the kit. The scissors too are not sharp. Tried to do some trimming to my beard and it just bent the hair not cutting it. All in all I am just disappointed.EDIT:After Hearing from the company and contacting them I did get a new kit with a good blade in it. The new blade came sharp and just needed to be sanitized and stropped. Much happier with this product and moving back up to a 5 now.

Cheap product was surprisingly better then I expected truthfully it’s a good starter buy. The strop I received was so dry that it has a huge tear right in the center from being rolled up and dried out so badly so that went right in the trash. Blade wAs dull could not shave with it straight out of packaging, sharpened it and it now works well. All In All I really like the brand the set up, was neat and well versed in the items and for the costs you can’t go wrong truly. Truly a great buy for what you pay

I got this set for my fiance for Christmas and he absolutely loves it! He wasn't to impressed with how sharp the straight razor was when he unwrapped it. After sharpened he loves it though. The beard oil is unscented like said but the beard balm has a very nice refreshing scent! I'm guessing from all of the oils in it. We both absolutely love the smell of the beard balm! He loves the way the beard oil and beard balm makes his beard feel! He has very course beard hair and it makes it a little bit softer and easier to tame down. He also loves the comb and the brush that comes with the set! Everything was good quality products and put together very well! Over all a extremely nice set! Would most definitely recommend buying!
