Best Child Bike Seat on the Market
I did a lot of research into infant bicycle seats before purchasing this seat. My daughter was sitting upright and holding her head up very securely at 8 months, so my husband and I decided to try out a bike seat at 10 months - provided that the smallest bicycle helmet we could find would fit her by then (she's very petite!). Needless to say, we received a lot of negative feedback about the idea of putting our child on a bike seat at such a young age, but none of the naysayers had ever heard of or seen the Yepp Mini seat before. Upon receiving the product, my confidence was immediately restored as to her safety, as the smaller size of the seat compared to rear-mounted seats, the adjustable 5-point harness and foot straps created a very snug and secure cocoon of comfort around her. All of the rear-mounted seats we researched would have been too big and she would have bounced around a lot. This was also by far the most appealing of all the front-mounted child seats we researched, including the WeeRide, BoBike and iBert. The price was also fantastic for this product, in fact, I would have paid double knowing how well it works and how long it will last us. The material of the seat and straps is soft (but durable and waterproof) making the ride a bit more comfortable and the quick release attachment is FANTASTIC for days when I'm commuting without baby. We definitely get a lot of curious stares and smiles when cycling around town. The downsides are few: - The mounting bracket does not fit every bicycle. Make sure you research your stem diameter prior to purchasing if you plan to use this for an existing bike. Also, you need to have enough stem clearance (the distance between the head and the steering column) to take this bracket, which is about 50-60mm clear. There is an adapter for the bracket which allows you to use it for bikes with an Ahead setup. I used my hybrid Giant FCR3 bicycle for this, which had stem "spacers" on the column. I was able to remove these and fit the regular bracket around the stem in their place. - Knee clearance isn't great on my hybrid, but you will probably find this with most front-mounted child seats. This also depends on the type of bike you use the seat with, as bicycles in a more upright position (e.g. Dutch-style town bikes) will have almost no impact on your knees whatsoever. All-in-all a fantastic product with great accessories. My daughter is now 14 months and LOVES riding in her front seat. In fact, she wouldn't have it any other way!

Perfect for a cycling family!
Absolutely love this seat! My chunky 10 month old has been using it for a month and does nothing but happy squeal the whole time. The actual seat is super sturdy, light, easy to install and easy to remove if not in use. We ummed and ahhhed from before she was even born about what bike seat we'd use once she was big enough and I'm so happy we settled in this one which will fit her until she's big enough for our Shotgun seat. Im 5ft 6 and I do struggle to ride comfortably, the position means I ride like a frog which is painful up any sort of hill but I think that's due to poor leg strength and her helmet is in my chin but again I think that's because I'm riding a mountain bike and I'm fairly stretched to the handlebars anyway. I think both complaints are be expected with a front seat and my own fault for taking her up mountains instead of sticking to flat paths! My other half who is 5ft 11 has no worries or complaints and loves to take her on bike rides. The seat itself is easily wiped and straps are so easy to adjust. Can't reccomend it enough.

Fits my brompton
I was a little worried it wouldn’t fit my folding bike (Brompton) but as long as you attach it right at the top, then it not only fits but fully folds and closes when the seat is removed. The seat is sturdy for my 2.5 year old but it (stating the obvious) it does make it harder to ride especially when the child moves around (turns etc) which is probably not as bad with a younger or more compliment child. So I would recommend you need to be a competent cyclist to start with. Other than that, I fully recommend this seat.

Great little product.
Pros, fun for the kid to be up front. Weirdly it must be rather comfortable as my son often wants to sleep in it. Buying the rest to go on the bar but don't expect that to help much. Only consideration is on mountain bikes, when your child has long legs, the foot holders and get in the way of the suspension forks

Secure, but extend your head tube.
I was a bit concerned when buying this that it would make the bike handling difficult. After testing it out, due to where the child weight is (behind the handle bars not on them.) Its actually fine. I was also impressed by how steady it is. The one thing I did have to do in order to make this practicable on my cyclo-cross, was add a head tube extender. This does two things. 1) Makes room for your knees which can be restricted. 2) Sits you more upright so your head & torso are not impede.

5 months of daily use
I have been taking my son to nursery 3 times a week for the past 5 months on this seat and I have no complaints whatsoever. He loves being in the front and we are always interacting on the ride over, Singing, pointing at new things and waving at big trucks. I can even give him a snack which is perfectly placed in my pocket. I also have the windscreen and the head rest as he sometimes falls asleep, but I am not worried about his head bobbing around because it is safely resting on Miffy, plus I am immediately behind him, which allows me to gently place my arm in a position where I feel control over his head and its bobbing action. I would not exchange this seat for a rear seat because I love the interaction that this one allows between us. i have a classic city bike, almost sitting up, and i adjusted it to my height , i am 166 cm, and I have never had a problem with hitting my knees on the seat. I feel in complete control of the bike, with minimal swerving even as he dances and shakes as we sing nursery rhymes all throughout our 4 mile journey in the morning. I have installed a double kickstand for extra support when taking him off the bike and i recommend getting this done by a professional. This seat also has the advantage that you can install it yourself, and remove it easily as well. I love this baby seat for its specifications but also because it is so stylish. We often hear kids exclamating: "look at that cool bike"!

Fantastic seat for little one and rider
Very impressed with the yepp mini. Easy to fit, and very comfy for the little one. It is a relaxed style sear which can be influenced by the geometry of the bike, but I was surprised how little I have to bow my knees when cycling with it - a significant improvement over other front mounted seats I tried, very comfy for the rider too

Inherent Fault with the Ahead Adaptor
You need to purchase the additional Ahead Adaptor for any bike with a treadless stem meaning probably half of all bikes. 99.9% of bikes have a head tube angle swept backwards at the same angle regardless of being threaded or threadless and to counter this swept back angle the adaptor (Slimfit Adaptor) that comes with the Yepp Mini has the seat attachment angled swept forwards (not backwards nor 90dehrees) to counter the head tube angle. UNFORTUNATELY Thule allowed this Ahead stem bracket to reach the point of sale without realising the bend in the bracket isn't even angled at 90degrees (it’s angled backwards) yet it should be angled with a forward angle just as the slim fit adaptor is angled, the seat attachment on the Ahead Adaptor increases the backwards swept angle to around 85 degrees. The result is that the Yepp Mini seat is so far reclined that it pushes into the riders chest meaning you can't ride the bike with any degree of safety and your child is straining forwards all the time they are awake. I've included a photograph to try and show the grossly opposite angles of the adaptors and NO just bending the bracket yourself isn't a good idea unless you want to cut through the re-enforcing folds on the metal plate which isn't a good idea on any bracket that is subject to vibrations and a child's weight on it. Really bad quality control by Thule :-(

Very high quality and comfortable. My daughter Loved it and didn’t complain about anything through a complete hour ride. And I managed to install it on my bike within 5 minutes.
