Barbie the First 30 Years 1959 Through 1989: An Identification and Value Guide

This book was not perfect, but what is. It held loads of information and exactly what I wanted. Maybe when I become more knowledgeable I will want a more in-depth book, but this told me what I wanted to know. What Barbies were made and who they were. Now I just need a book for the last 30 years.

I like the photos, information and it covers 30 years. Where’s the next 30 year book??

Barbie collectors need these things!

It was my first reference book and I found the layout to be very confusing and not that helpful.

Great addition to my new collection of Barbie literature. Contains a gazillion quality photos.

It’s a good book, wish it would have had more info on vintage Barbie clothes

I was disappointed because I already have this book, although it has a different cover. The contents are very good and a good Barbie resource.

Covers a wide variety of Barbie and Friends dolls. Clothes too. A great reference book

I have just received this book and absolutely love it already! It has hundreds of colour photos showing all the Barbie fashions from 1959 right up to the eighties and beyond (just as it says!).However, what makes it stand out from many other info books I have is that it also pictures the outfits AND dolls found only in Europe, Canada and Asia (mostly Japan). It shows Barbie, Francie, Ken and Skipper fashions plus the gift sets exclusive to certain stores in the USA, like Sears.One of the most interesting things to me was seeing a lot of the budget buys available in the late 70s/early 80s like Best Buys and Original Fashions. It also lists some of the carrying cases, cars and room set-ups for play. Just Brilliant!I wish I could give it more stars.

Il libro non ha foto bellissime ma rende abbastanza idea dei prezzi USA per chi decide di acquistare su un mercato diverso. Ho altre guide che sono sicuramente migliori per chi colleziona ma questa permette comunque di farsi un’idea su bambole, outfit e accessori. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo... il mio usato non era “vissuto”. Spedizione velocissima, l’ho ricevuto in una settimana e molto prima del preventivato. Bella guida per amatori ma i collezionisti hanno sicuramente esigenze diverse.
