I purchased the Philips Modern Loop Rabbit Ears Indoor TV Antenna to cut the cord and was pleasantly surprised by how well it performs! Setup was a breeze—just plug it in, extend the dipoles, and scan for channels. The 15-inch extendable dipoles help pull in both VHF and UHF channels, and I was able to get crystal-clear 4K and 1080P reception on my smart TV. The signal quality is impressive, even in an area where reception can be spotty. I was able to pick up all my local channels, including major networks like ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX, with no issues. The compact, modern design looks great on my entertainment center, and the 4ft coaxial cable gives enough flexibility to position it for the best reception. If you're looking for an affordable, reliable indoor antenna to get free HDTV channels, this is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

This antenna was easy to configure and works extremely well. Be sure to extend the height and width of the rabbit ears to their maximum and point them in correct direction.

If you are looking for a good antenna for under 20 dollars I would recommend this Phillips rabbit ears antenna. This antenna was able to give all major channels with crystal clear pictures. It works so well I bought a second one. Very easy to install and small enough so it doesn't get in the way. Was able to connect easily with my LG tv.

I almost never do reviews anymore but I’ll make an exception for the Philips Modern Loop Rabbit Ears Indoor TV Antenna SDV7114A/27. This is the best $15 I have spent in a long time. I was born in the early 1950s, when TV was a new thing. Few people had TVs, and you could tell who did by the antenna outside the house, on a pole, higher than the roof. Antenna was the only way to receive a TV signal. Indoor antennas were called “rabbit ears” because of the “V” configuration. Those were (and still are) VHF (very high frequency) antennas. UHF (ultra high frequency) antennas usually are in the form of a circle or loop. When cable TV service was canceled in my household, it removed my ability to receive broadcasts of the local NFL team (the Saints, actually). And maybe because I am “old school” I’m not too fond of “streaming” TV. In any case, with football season eminent a couple of weeks ago, I started researching antennas. I read up on a few dozen models and brands, of different types. Some of the claims were obviously bogus; for example, there is no such thing as a 4K or HDTV antenna: a TV signal is a TV signal. It will be either UHF or VHF, depending on the broadcasting TV station, and that’s about the end of it. Also, an amplifier may not be necessary, and can make the signal worse. Obviously, the fewer active electronics in any device, the less it’s going to cost and the components that can fail are also fewer. So I decided on the Philips antenna. At that price, no great loss if it doesn’t work. My TV (Amazon Fire TV) sits 17 miles from New Orleans as the crow flies. New Orleans is of no particular importance in this discussion – I mention it so people can decide if the terrain in their area is similar. There are no mountains, tall buildings, or anything like that between my TV and the city. This matters: those things interfere with TV signals. In other words, your results may vary. TV signals also do not penetrate metal or concrete very well. So I connected the Philips antenna to the TV (coaxial cable) and ran the “scan” app. Thirty-five channels were detected. I expected four or five. ALL of them came in as clear as can be. Unfortunately, the channel that carries the Saints was not one of them (it’s a UHF channel, for what that’s worth – most channels are VHF). So I moved the antenna from behind the TV on the window sill about three feet away. Scanned again. 56 channels! All of them come in as clear as can be, including the channel with the football. And this window is on the west side of the house, whereas the TV station is on the opposite side, to the east. I would give this thing ten stars if I could, but really that’s ten stars for old school technology. New is not necessarily better, nor are bells and whistles.

The product fails to capture even the basic free local TV channels as advertised. I moved the product to multiple points in the room with negligible changes in each new position. The channels that were captured did NOT have HD resolution. I live in a suburbs of a significant population center, so availability of the channels shouldn't have been an issue due to geography. This product is NOT recommended. Do yourself a favor and buy a higher powered antenna if you are hoping to watch over the air TV.

I needed a new antenna for my bedroom tv, and it's always been a bit of a challenge in this house with thick and plaster walls. I did not want to spend a lot my money, and this seemed to be rated-well for the price point. It was been one of my more finicky antennas. It connects via coaxial which screws on, and the cord length is somewhat shorter than most other brands I've purchased. The design is nice, and it has the classic "rabbit ears" to get that perfect picture. The difference with this antenna, as opposed to the others I have, I am constantly adjusting how it sits, where it sits, when changing from one station to another... something I have to do very rarely with the other antennas. The rabbit ears extend, but they only go up and down instead of a swivel, so it means turning the entire antenna into different positions to obtain a channel. I wouldn't recommend this to someone, and I wouldn't purchase this model again. Quality is good when it does pick up a signal, but I would expect it to be. Other than a somewhat attractive design, and lower cost, there's really not much else that separates this from other bargain antennas.

OK, I don’t often write reviews but I have Amazon TV, but I wanna pick up the local broadcast. I’ve had other digital antennas that are amplified and barely got anything and I will always having to move them but this Phillips antenna, which is just a rabbit ear no amplification is by far the best and easiest antenna. I just plugged it in instantly scanned and got over 52 channels, including my favorite channels where I like to watch the old shows from the 60s and 70s I didn’t have to move the antenna around just pop out the rabbit years plug it in even close to my TV I didn’t even have to put it next to a window. It is fabulous all my other antennas I bought in the past were junk. This one gets five stars if not more because I see a lot of stars on TV and this one does the job very please highly recommend recommended.

Works great. I live within 15 miles of my broadcast stations and I can get all OTA channels with this, even from my basement. Other “cardboard” antennas I’ve tried required precise placement, pixelated or stuttered, or failed to tune VHF channels. But this one has none of those problems, it just works. If you’re within a reasonable range of your broadcast stations, this is the antenna you want. The only reason to look elsewhere is if you need extra long range you may want to look into outdoor or amplified antennas.

Pour une Télévision en particulier, un poste important ne rentrait pas (TVA canal 10) et d'autres postes entraient avec une force de 1 ou 2 sur 5 malgré 4 autres antennes semblables essayées avec certaines électriques. Avec cette antenne, on a vu tout de suite la différence, TVA entre bien 5 sur 5 et les autres postes aussi. Impressionnant comme performance - et l'antenne n'a même pas besoin d'être branchée au circuit électrique.
