Excellent fabric for replacing your old Headliner
This headliner fabric looks great (better than factory) and feels like great quality — perfect for replace the sagging headliner in my Land Rover. It’s easy to cut and work with, and the finish looks clean once installed. I replaced headliners before and the (store bought) fabric was thicker and more bulky to work with. This fabric has thinner padding the is easier to work with. The texture is also much nicer with a great sheen that gives it a nicely finished look. Also the price is hard to beat! I paid over $100 at a fabric shop before and it was not 54" wide so this is half of what I paid for a narrower and cheaper looking fabric. Just a note for do it yourselfers: make sure your surface is cleaned thoroughly and you’re using the proper adhesive for best results. That makes all the difference in how well it holds up. Overall, very happy with the result — it made such a huge difference and completely refreshed the interior.

Good-quality fabric that’s easy to work with but prone to wrinkles
We used this fabric to upholster the trunk of our 1941 Ford, and it worked out well overall. The foam backing is a great thickness — it gives a bit of cushion and helps protect the fabric from spray adhesive. The material itself has a nice suede texture and is easy to cut and apply. I ordered the 54x60 and it was enough to do the entire trunk. The only drawback is that it’s a bit challenging to smooth out wrinkles once they appear, so a little patience (and maybe some heat) is needed for a clean finish. Otherwise, it’s a good-quality, versatile fabric that works nicely for automotive or DIY upholstery projects. Pros: - Foam backing adds cushion and protects from adhesive - Easy to cut and apply - Nice suede texture and solid quality - Great for automotive or home upholstery Cons: - Difficult to remove wrinkles completely Overall, this is a well-made, easy-to-handle fabric with a good feel and backing thickness. Just be prepared to take extra care when smoothing it out for the best finish

Just pay extra elsewhere
Why in the world would you send this folded? I’ve spent hours trying to get the creases out and they are not budging. Obviously not real suede and won’t match what you already have. Super flimsy and I don’t think it’s worth the money. Wouldn’t recommend.

Easy to use for small home projects (but not at all like suede and a bit pricey)
The title of this product's Amazon listing is misleading. It should not be called "suede" because not only is it synthetic, it's nothing like suede in appearance or feel. That said, though, it is very easy to cut with household scissors and it adheres with all-purpose glue. There was an odor at first, but that disappeared after a couple days' airing outdoors. So far I've used this to repair a missing section of rubber edging on a doormat (rolled up and taped in place) and to resole a pair of handknit slippers (glued on at this point, eventually to be stitched in place). The gray foam backing is very squishy and offers essentially no resistance when compressed. This arrived with some wrinkles on the black front surface; I don't know if those would steam or iron out because they didn't interfere with either of the small projects I've used this for. I'm glad to have this versatile product on hand for future projects, although I do think it's on the expensive side for what it is and the amount of it that you get.

Thick and soft!
We ordered the red suede auto headliner fabric, and while the color leans a little more toward an orange-red than a deep cherry red, it still looks absolutely fantastic installed! It really brightened up the space and gave my husband mail vehicle a fresh, custom feel. The red color really goes well with the postal colors. The quality of the material is wonderfully thick, soft, and very durable. The foam backing gives it a nice bit of padding, which made installation go more smoothly and also added a cozy, finished touch to the ceiling. My husband, who’s a mail carrier and spends all day in his Jeep, says it’s made a big difference. He used to bump his head from time to time, and now he jokes that it’s like a mini pillow up there. No more ouch moments, just a soft landing! All in all, we’re thrilled with how this turned out. Whether you're updating a car, truck, or even a boat or RV, this is a great choice. The quality is excellent, the fabric is easy to work with, and it makes a world of difference. Highly recommend!

Pretty durable
I sliced at the fabric with a new pocket knife. It left scratches but did not cut through to the foam backing. Compared to OEM headliner from my 2008 Toyota Sienna, this fabric is much more durable. However I wouldn't use this to wrap any surface that heavy items will sit and slide on like the trunk floor. The black color indeed is very black and does not look off.

Nice Headliner, Very Soft, Comes with Free Creases!
This suede foam headliner is very soft and has a sheene to it. It's obviously not real suede, but it's also not really a suede substitute because of the sheen. It's very soft and it's a little thinner than the higher end auto headliner fabric I've used before. I ordered this more for small projects and I think it will be great for small accent areas where your arms or legs might rest. I don't think I would use it for the headliner though because of the wrinkles and creases. Unfortunately it was folded in shipping which I might be able to get out with some steam, but I would rather not have to fight it for a whole headliner. Not a bad price for the amount of fabric. It's thin, but it seems pretty easy to work with and has a decent feel and durability to it. It is as advertised, they just need to work on their packaging!

Great for cars AND sewing projects!
This is a fantastic stable headliner that can be used to add structure to tote bags, pouches and other sewing projects. The price for headliner material is significantly less than what you would pay for stabilizing foam sold for fabric purposes. I was happy to see this headliner sold at such a wide width because it sometimes sold too narrow, and requires you to have seams down the center. Really great texture and if I needed to replace in my vehicle, I’d be very happy with the quality and color grey as well.
